I've been wanting to make a Raziel cosplay ever since the first Soul Reaver Remastered games came out. Specifically I want to try and make Vampire Raziel, meaning wings... Annoyingly I've had to try and make these myself as there aren't any 3D models which do what I want.

Just so I can make this more available to me and others, I'm posting a recipe for Lavender Tea Cake which I discovered on the Allrecipes website many years ago, which they removed some years back. (Gods bless the Wayback machine) Trust me it's really good!

One of the arms on my Secretlab chair has been squeaking for years and I'd finally had enough of it. Turns out it's been caused by the small metal plate label that's found on each arm, but the left one was very loose. Squeak is gone now it's removed.

One of the joys of new years, the Baileys cream gets reduced. Which means I can make some Bailey's tiramisu! They're only a single layer thick as I misjudged the amount needed to make a single one with two layers.

At Kokorocon this year I witnessed someone using a joycon as a remote for a PowerPoint presentation. I have found you can do the same with a Wiimote, which I have personally tested. I'll be using this for my con presentation at Hotarucon.

So I've almost finished making a coat for a cosplay I'm planning, but found that it doesn't fit around my gut 😭 So I'm going on a keto-ish diet and doing exercise to try and get rid of my spare tire. Currently hoping my ADHD makes this a hyperfocus for me, so I'm more inclined to stick with it!

Tis a sad day, I've poured the last of the Cypriot spirit I bought on holiday back in June. I'd specifically gone for the honeyed version due to my fondness for honey and mead. It's delicious and I'd recommend it to anyone who fancies something strong and almost brandy-like.

This morning has been filled with the headache that is turning the flat mesh model on the left into the 3D model on the right. There were no guides on this, so I had to experiment to get the answer. (Using Meshmixer I extruded the model, then used the Make Solid function) Now to see if it prints!

For a first-time user, I'm really happy with it. Made the benchy model and most of a mini mega drive and cartridge (sadly ran out of the sample filament it came with). Really happy with the results though.

Along with my Benchy, I tried making a micro Mega Drive and game cartridge. Sadly, I was 2 minutes worth of filament short from finishing it. Not bad going for the small amount of filament it came with.

So @blazingskies.bsky.social was wanting a more suitable storage solution for their jewellery. Here's the WIP of what I've made so far. The partitions are made from poundland canvas boards, the black insert was from an incense set. Planning to use wrapping paper to make it look uniform inside.

Following the acquisition of MANY pears, I've been persuaded to make something with them. The poached pear and blackberry tart came out pretty good, though I think the pears need longer to ripen.

So, thanks to a friend, I now have a lot of pears (and a pair of apples) with which to make things. I also managed to snag some ale yeast from Wilko, so a perry might be a idea for future; but for the immediate, I might make a pie or crumble with the pears and some berries I have in my freezer.
