Cheers mate, it comes faster than you think. I can remember thinking ''just 3 more years to go'' like it was a couple of months ago. It is going to take some adjustment psychologically especially after having the same job and routine for 23 years but yeah really looking forward to it.

There are some amazing 3rd party apps for ED. EDHM is also one of my favourites, I love the Shipyard feature where you can have a different colour template for each of your ships that loads automatically when you switch.

You can change the HUD colours with this fantastic app bluemystical.github.io/edhm-api/ it also lets you assign a specific colour template to each of your ships that loads as soon as you board them.

#EliteDangerous I am really enjoying surface mining with the Rhino. There is a real prospector vibe hunting down elusive deposits, setting up and managing rigs. Taking note of latitude and longitude. I've mined 1200 tons of Iridium for the CG with a profit of 1.2 billion.

Yeah unfortunately it means having to check most of the sites available and yes there are lots of small spread out sites that will only take 1 rig but last night I found an Iridium location for the CG that took 3 rigs and mined 500 Million Crs worth in an hour. So patience and perserverence are key

This was the first HOTAS I used along with the rudder pedals. I used brackets to mount them onto the arms of my computer chair. A decent enough starter set but sadly the joystick developed a drift that I couldn't fix within a few months so I bit the bullet and bought a full Virpil set.

Yeah I thought about that too, but surely FDev would know that without any further hints to hang about, the vast majority of CMDR's would likely return to the Bubble or head off in every direction and would be mightily pissed if they were told they'd have to come back to get involved.

#EliteDangerous I had hoped to have an Exobiologically/Cartographically profitable return journey back from Colonia but with the end of the month approaching I suspect that there will be a mining related CG soon after the Rhino's release and FOMO has reared it's ugly head.

This run to Colonia is the first significant long distance run I've done with my FC, I probably used much more fuel than I would have if I hadn't brought such a large reserve but my OCD would not be a happy camper if I didn't have that reserve.

I found 6 Tritium hotspots in Eol Prou PC-K c9-221 which is just 6 ly from Colonia so I've now mined 3000 tons. Going to hang around until after the tick on Thursday in case there is something else planned for the region.
