Looking north to the south side of fascinating All Hallows By the Tower, London. Founded in 675 when Bede was a probably a wee toddler. Bede used Christ’s date of birth as his universal dating system. I use Bede’s birth as my reference point. I like to think he would have chuckled venerably.

Facing west. This ground in front of Sherborne Abbey is full of late townsfolk. It’s now a central area for the town, where people picnic and tots totter on the grass. Once the green area was at the top of town, through where the old stagecoaches came. During Covid this was a place for reflection.

Huge rocks (relatively 😬) Pup brings me out of rivers. Why? She had a play date with her great uncle (not Bulgaria) from whom she got the wheeze. Good thinking, thought she. Forget chewable, light, throwable sticks; I’ll haul immense petrocs out of running water, throw them on Mamma’s bunion etc.
