This talk works to contextualize events in Minneapolis within the current administration’s discursive strategy of attacking Renée Good and Alex Pretti and denying responsibility for their deaths after they were shot by ICE agents.

Héctor Hoyos and Jorge González-Jácome shared their reading of Garcia Márquez’s fictions as a form of legal pluralism that explores how power is constituted by the people imaginatively.

Gratified by Azka Anees' recent review of the 2022 Oxford UP book. Anees applies the book's model of cultural legal analysis to recent events in Canada and carries out the argument that "aesthetics can be used to interrogate and critique the law." Thank you for this thoughtful review.
