Some might argue that "Oh, the sketch was already in progress." However, I fail to see the point, especially since the artist had made comments that have made me uncomfortable, and I pointed out that he has had previous problems with others.

An extra message that essien sent me, he asked me to "regain enthusiasm for the piece and not let negative outside energy effect things"

My first point is that I technically asked for the refund BEFORE I was shown any progress, but he responded with a sketch that still had signs of being worked on, and when I brought this up with paypal, they took his side. I would have been fine with a partial refund, but nothing at all upsets me.

Main note: "And I do not make refunds after having started the sketch."

Didn't expect this, but I'm going to have to call out @essienlion.bsky.social as he has caused me a couple problems. I came across him and placed a comm for a flat color piece, but later found out he had previously traced art. I wanted a refund but got no money back for it (More in the thread below)

The case on paypal closed in the artists favor.

What I told paypal (1/2). I said I asked for a refund before I was sent the sketch.

(2/2) I shared how I learned that the artist had traced art before.

I finally got a drawing tablet, so hopefully it helps me improve more. Just got to remember to draw more often. Not sure what to draw next. I'm wanting to learn how to decently draw both characters and backgrounds, but should I get good at backgrounds first, or learn both characters and backgrounds?

Finally finished my #art. Hopefully I start to improve. I want to eventually do characters too but I don't think I'm good enough for that yet.
