Crooked Helm's scars were graciously done by @ritualgoth.bsky.social , who did a fantastic job on them!!! While the design is based around Helm's particular history as a gladiator, I thought it was a shame that HR3 doesn't have more scar options, so these will be released as a public resource too!

the tl;dr on the nemain lore is that nemain is saori's avatar. she contracted with her while saori was dying after her revenge attempt and healed her, but infected her with dark aether in the process. their relationship is strained as the two of them are using each other for their own wants

Crooked Helm lost his left eye during a fight in the Coliseum with a hydra. Though he started wearing an eyepatch after that, the truth is it covers the materia he uses as a false eye, which greatly enhances his magical ability. All in the name of a more interesting match for the crowd.
