Just finished Ke Huy Quan’s memoir. Was drawn into his story before Indiana Jones even entered the picture. His life as a refugee and his journeys through uncertainty were inspiring. Stories of Spielberg and Ford modeling positive masculinity were heartwarming. Audiobook read by Ke himself. 10/10.

Jim Henson would have turned 90 today. His imagination, kindness, and unmistakable sense of silliness and wonder left an incredible mark on me—from the Muppets to Sesame Street, and Fraggle Rock to The Dark Crystal. Go do or watch something sensational, inspirational, celebrational or Muppetational.

And this terrifying enemy surfaced—as such enemies often do—in the seemingly most innocent and unlikely of places.

The Star Wars scene Acme doesn't want you to see! Did you know that while C-3PO and R2-D2 waited outside the Mos Eisley Cantina for Obi-Wan and Luke, the two droids had an run in with an aggressive and abusive salesman from Acme Droid Services? They can't keep getting away with this!

The Indiana Jones scene Acme doesn't want you to see! This bit originally appeared in the "Princeton, February 1916" episode of "The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles" but it was cut when the story was re-edited into "Spring Break Adventure" for home video. They can't keep getting away with this!

"The Rise & Fall of the Galactic Empire," "Skywalker: A Family at War," and "100 Objects" are among my absolute favorite Star Wars books of all time (and I'm sure "Star Pilots" will join them when it arrives next month). They all live together at the forefront of my bookshelf. Great reads!

In 5th grade, I had a sleepover where we watched "Clue." When it ended, we rewound the VHS and watched it again. Then we woke up the next morning and watched it a third time. It became a staple of every sleepover thereafter. Probably the movie I've watched the most that isn't a Star Wars. A classic.

Tim Curry did NOT have to go this hard voicing Hexxus, the personification of deforestation for a kids' cartoon. And yet he absolutely committed and nailed it.... and potentially made a whole generation of kids weirdly attracted to pollution. What a legend.

Tim Curry always brought it. Whether he was being terrifying, hilarious, theatrical, charming, or just completely over-the-top, he had a presence you simply couldn't ignore. He was such an influential part of my childhood with his great performances that left a lasting impression. What a legend.

And "The Muppet Show" episode with the stars of "Star Wars" (S4 E17) was taped in January 1980, just a few months before production began on "The Great Muppet Caper." It’s a fun crossover of the era, mixing Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca, R2-D2 and C-3PO with Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and the Muppets.

And then there's one of the photographers at Lady Holiday's fashion show, snapping away as Miss Piggy takes the stage. He was played by Cy Town who was an extra on 1977's "Star Wars" too.... playing multiple roles, including a Death Star Trooper, a TIE pilot, and a Stormtooper.

That man was played by British actor Reg Thomason. He had appeared in "Star Wars" as a Rebel communications officer on the Yavin base during the Death Star run and (according to production notes) was also a patron in the crowd at the Mos Eisley Cantina.

First you've got puppeteers from the sequels to "Star Wars." Obviously there's Frank Oz (Yoda) who performs Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Animal and Sam the Eagle. Plus several additional performers—Kathryn Mullen (Yoda assistant), Mike Quinn (Nien Nunb), Hugh Spight (Gamorrean), and Kiran Shah (Ewok).

If you’re looking for a Star Wars story where a group of kids get lost in a world way bigger than they are, be sure to check out "Skeleton Crew." It carries a lot of the same vibes and sensibilities as "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" just set in a galaxy far, far away rather than the kid's backyard.

The film marked Joe Johnston's directorial debut. His career began at ILM as an artist on the Star Wars and Indiana Jones films, designing such icons as the Millennium Falcon and Boba Fett's armor. He later directed such films as "The Rocketeer," "Jumanji," "Jurassic Park III" and "Captain America."
