While there is no doubt China plays a priceless role in cleantech, there is another side of the story. E.g China makes its chemicals from coal - just to to avoid import dependence. And Chinese coal to chemical industry already in 2023 emitted 1.29 billion tonnes of CO2. 4x the saving in the article.
