A young adult male sea lion tries to jump onto the pilings that support a fish processing plant on the bay front in Newport, Oregon. He repeatedly tries to get up in the pilings, but there really wasn't anywhere for him to land. I believe that he was drawn to the smell of fish, which are sometimes sucked out of the holds of the fishing vessels using that orange flexible tube seen to the right of the image.
