This one. I love the E90 series in general (I had one, non-M3) but this was the car that was competing in ALMS when I first got into sports car racing. Seeing these at Petit Le Mans back in the day was special.

How it feels to not listen to or know anything about the two big artists everyone on social media is fighting over right now

Most of my childhood memories from elementary school are lost to time but I will never forget the confusion, the sadness, and the anger I felt that day. But I'll also never forget how we all rallied together to defend our own. It's a shame that it took something like that to bring us together.

My last memory of that day was riding to the store with my dad to buy a bunch of mini US flags. That night we went to the front of our neighborhood and put them all up around the entrance. By the next morning, basically everyone else had done the same.

It was the first time I remember feeling unsafe. Like suddenly the phrase "terror" was on everyone's mind for the first time, even in a nice south Atlanta suburb like ours. I was also scared for my dad knowing that his place of work could be weaponized in such an outrageous way.

When I got home, my dad (Navy veteran and airline pilot) was furious. I had no idea what was going on until my parents let me see what was on the TV. I couldn't comprehend how something like that could even happen, I just knew we were under attack and my future was going to look very different.

I was in the 4th grade. We had no idea anything was going on till right after our lunch break when the principal made an announcement that school was being let out early. We were all looking around confused, and the teacher's expression really said it all. The busses took us home.

High rye stuff like that is not for everyone but it is a very solid bottle. And it makes a killer old fashioned.

I never got to see this in theaters and it's been years since I actually watched it all the way through. And it was great. It's silly and some of the lines are a little cringe, but I don't care, I fuckin loved it.

I tried taking the Mustang in for an alignment at the dealer while they did a recall. Turns out my car is too low with the front splitter to make it up onto the rack. My car is stock lol. Find it hard to believe a dealer selling Dark Horses and Shelbys can't get one of those onto an alignment rack.

Happy for Toyota to finally win Le Mans when they weren't just racing themselves. And really happy for Ben Keating as well. I'd be even happier if the Proton Mustangs would ever do anything.

Fun times. Ford dealer parts departments apparently have no fucking clue how to order parts to replace leaking Magneride dampers. They say my VIN shouldn't have them at all. I can't find any of the part numbers online. So now I have to schedule a service so their techs can maybe figure it out.

Yeah a few Airbnbs we were looking at were within walking distance from the track. All of those are locked out it seems. We're traveling from the US so not sure how feasible it is to try and set up a camp. Once we're at the race though we're there all night. I have some links to read up on...

Do I know anyone who's done Le Mans as a spectator? We're trying to plan for 2027 and book lodging for a decent sized group ahead of time and are striking out so far. Idk if we're just trying too early or if every Airbnb/hotel in 100 miles is already sold out. What areas should we be looking at?

Max running the N24 is a huge net positive for sportscar racing but now the DTS fans are aware of it and I don't think I'm mentally ready for that.

Really sad to see Acura "pausing" their GTP program. A brand like that belongs in prototypes. Of course it happens right after I buy an Acura.

Whenever someone "breaks" this story it just tells me they know nothing about our national defense.
A New York Post thumbnail claiming "breaking news" that the E-4B "Doomsday plane" is in the air as if this isn't a normal everyday occurrence.

I've seen that around here in a few stores. It's a generic bourbon priced double what most others go for at that age, so it's really the perfect whiskey to honor him.

It really depends on what time of day you're leaving. By middle of the day/early afternoon it tends to clear out. The mornings are the worst by far. I'm flying out for Laguna Seca in May and it's a morning flight... I might have to get to the airport the night before lol

So that race wasn't the shit show I expected but I'm still skeptical. If they can find a way to not have the cars lose half their power on straights then I'd say this could be a golden age. Now it just feels like DRS with extra steps.
