I totally understand people wanting to wait until beastieball is “1.0” to play it. I also don’t usually play early access titles. My main worry at this point is that the game is already so complete and universally beloved, by the time we call it 1.0 i might accidentally make it worse somehow…

there are 790 games submitted this year... budgets are impossible to know but shenmue was reportedly the "most expensive game of all time" in 1999 @ 47million (including marketing). from that if you guesstimate typical AAA budgets at the time at <30mil, that's... expedition 33 basically lol

Someone pointed out that beastieball was high on the “top hidden gems” on steam and I have been watching it curiously. We’re in a weird spot where the score is better than many games placed higher, but it’s getting pushed down because it’s too popular (not really “hidden”).

it's actually quite challenging to find this view, but I was curious about metrics like which games i'd played the most etc. afaik this is the only way to get a sortable view of all your games (for some reason this brings up all 312 of my games and not the 261 in the selected category)

also I should call attention to the playtimes... we really strove to make this a game that's packed super-tight and respects your time. but people really are sticking with it. it's completely off the charts compared to my other games and it hasn't even been out for a full week yet LOL
