Sitting in the hospital watching them clean up after a patient gets discharged. Seriously, THE WASTE is beyond shocking. It's a wonder I'm not being admitted myself seeing this. Never mind the gloves & the wipes, but the unopened plasters, slings, heavy duty aprons and even THE CURTAINS. Almost

11,000 tonnes of e-waste annually arises from disposed and unused chargers. Common chargers will reduce e-waste by almost a thousand tonnes per year whilst helping consumers to save €250 million a year on unnecessary chargers, and hours of time box searching. #climateaction #environmentalawareness

I don't recall watching snow fall so consistently & long in the #Carlow hills before, especially with another @met.ie weather alert for 5pm this evening. It hasn't stopped falling since we've been up 🙏 we don't lose power as we'll also lose water and heating 🙈 @carlowweather.bsky.social #sneachta

Looks like we'll be making bread if holed up for a few days and drinking black coffee 😬 hope the folk who've emptied the shelves actually use the produce they've bought, depriving the rest of us 😳

A lot of focus on us not meeting EV targets in Ireland over the last couple of days, and cost being a factor. I haven't heard anyone mention the cost offset by no fuel bills mentioned. Our EV pays for itself.

Food waste contributes to climate change. Making a conscious decision to reduce it is a positive climate action. Think before you throw it out #stopfoodwaste

Did you know that one minute of an idling car engine produces enough toxic pollutants to fill 60 people's lungs, OR if everyone stopped car idling for just 3 minutes a day, it would be the equivalent of reducing CO2 emissions by 1.4m tonnes a year (equivalent of planting 165 trees) 🌳 1/2

Skin deep. I bought some delicious apples from the farmers market, which many might have avoided. Covered in blemishes, it's easy to see why. But once the skins were removed, they were perfect beneath. Perfect added to the porridge with a sprinkling of cinnamon. #foodwaste #shoplocal

3 months ago, I 'rested' my solo business of 15 yrs to work full time as Environmental Awareness Officer with Carlow County Council. So far, I've no regrets. My role is all about the #circulareconomy & it feels good to work in a supported position with schools, colleges, individuals & communities 💚
