She's been home since last week. Pain level dropping. She's worked through so much.

She's finally home, now dealing with some mental health concerns before tackling outpatient things. Hoping for rest and a good reset for her.

Adree got to go home briefly on Friday. Her OT and PT team assessed her ability to navigate the house and recommend modifications. Only a few minor tweaks. She's set to be discharged officially Wednesday. Ahead will be more therapy, more doc appointments, and probably a procedure.

Sunset by my favorite somebody. She's doing great in rehab. Home soon, though much more therapy and doc appointments for the coming weeks or months. Going to have to find work again soon...but something flexible until she stabilizes

7/27 My wife WALKED today for the first time in a month and a half! With parallel bars, harness assist, and walker. She's tired but worked hard today. Pandora just knew to play Lindsey Stirling, Amish Paradise by Weird Al Yankovic, and Always Look on the Bright Side of Life by Monty Python

We've become acquainted with the medical team. One of the docs stopped by, spoke briefly on next steps. Then he stopped and admired the anniversary poster I hung. He said, "The hospital usually sees people at their worst. It's nice to see pictures that show her at her best." Appreciated that! #hlh

My wife is still in the ICU battling a rare autoimmune issue. She's fighting hard, stabilizing and improving, and the road ahead is still long. Hoping for a diagnosis soon and clarity going forward! Focusing on her care right now...it's hard to ask for help, but here we are.

HLH is awful. Thankful that my wife has improved from life threatening in the last few weeks. Many questions ahead, lots of rehab, and continued strength from support, thoughts, and prayers. As of today, she's still in the hospital...hoping to transfer to a stepdown facility soon!

I have NE Aster and other asters around the house but none of the others have done this.

210

Mark Ostendorf @green-marko.bsky.social · 29/05/2026

Yeah, this Aster is way early...and I bet it'll bloom again in the fall. As for Coneflower, we have 4 species here that bloom from early May on. Glade, Purple, Pale Purple, then Yellow.

Mark Ostendorf @green-marko.bsky.social · 29/05/2026

Our neighborhood is losing its older tree canopy, so more birds of prey now. Best of luck, I've found it to be tough as nails once established.

Mark Ostendorf @green-marko.bsky.social · 29/05/2026
