From a structure and writing standpoint, Everybody Loves Raymond might be the strongest sitcom or just show in general, it's so precise and focused with just zero percent fat on it. There isn't a single episode with a b plot it's such a masterful work of storytelling

Back In Action really should have just been a buddy comedy between Brendan Fraser and Daffy Duck, there was just way too much stuff in that movie and not enough of the human characters knew how to work off the Looney Tunes

Indie Animation has gotten so professional and high quality and that's super cool but I will always have a soft spot for the older original animated web series where they reused models and sprites and reordered their own gameplay to make a original series. I loved Smash King so much

I watched the some of Lanterns and I did like it and I will watch the rest of the series, but while I like a majority of the stuff out of the Gunn DC universe, it feels weird that not a lot of DC related shows/movies feels really made with kids in mind and are made with adult interests in mind-

I think of Buddy, both the character and the movie, as a inversion of Freddy Kruger and Pennywise, while Freddy creates a nightmarish world of the past and Pennywise turns into childhood fear, Buddy warps nostalgia into a saturated, bright anxiety filled world expecting everyone to perform

I got to see Coyote vs. Acme and it was a tremendous amount of fun, it utilized the Looney world and characters with the human world in a clever, thought out, detailed way in a manner that a lot of similar movies were not able to figure out.

A lot of people are talking about puppet work because of the upcoming Buddy movie and I would REALLY recommend checking out the movie/series The Fuzz, it is so clever in it's world building and presentation of the puppets and plays it entirely straight, it's on Tubi for free.

I think my issue with the animation for My Adventures With Superman and Invincible is kind of similar to my issue with Dragon Ball Super, the composting and rendering makes everything feel too shiny and smooth if that makes sense. Like everything feels like it was bleached and waxxed and too clean

The Kid Detective is on Netlix and I would SUPER recommend it as a underrated dark comedy with a pathetic but not unsympathetic main lead. A former child detective now a burnt out 30 something gets a real murder mystery case and is well in over his head and mostly important, doesn't have any jokes

Achilles and Odysseus are genuinely some of the most evil characters in Greek Mythology but due to a lot of pop culture and retellings they're viewed a lot more favorable and sympathetically than other heroes in greek myth

I was on board with the casting of Lupita as Helen of Troy but Christopher Nolan rewriting her relationship Menelaus so she is being physically abused by him is kind of weird and does ring odd of having the only black woman be in a physically abusive relationship.
