Yes, well said, we do. I suspect that greed and self interest have their parts to play. Such things are not endemic to the US but are most prevalent. It's embedded into the culture. We're a social species, we succeed by working together and for the greater good. That's been lost, unfortunately.

I use a local, organic small family farm for all my produce and much of my meat. Supports my local community and keeps the carbon footprint to a minimum. Also, almost exclusively chicken so much lower footprint than pork and beef.

Norway views its natural resources as belonging to its citizens, and not to corporate greed. Natural resources are freely provided by nature. The Government Pension Fund of Norway is seeded by its resources and provides countless benefits to its people. Why can't Canada do the same thing?
