Can I be so real with you guys? I have lost track as to whether or not there are tariffs. Where do we get the most up to date info on that?

There is not one perfect way to prepare for what's coming up next, but I reserve the right to roll my eyes at a pantry stocked with 6 months worth of individually wrapped craft mac and cheese.

WILLFUL IGNORANCE: there's an -ology for that. How to people get duped? What's the truth? How do you talk to others with seemingly very different realities? We discuss in this freshly updated Agnotology ep with Stanford prof Dr. Robert Proctor: www.alieward.com/ologies/agno...

I am feeling so conflicted about leaving Meta platforms. On the one hand, EW. I don't need that. On the other, I think that this is what they (meta) want so that they can push propaganda in peace. What is my responsibility? Would my efforts even matter? Are you still on Meta?

Occasional reminder that there’s no, “it’s too late, its over” for anthropogenic climate change. Every molecule of CO2 that doesn’t go into the atmosphere makes a difference. Preventing 0.1 degree of warming makes a difference. Every bit of climate resilience we build together makes a difference.

Immediate gratification has absolutely ruined our brains. Probably a milquetoast take at this point. Still. I am both hopeful and nervous about all of the people who are starting the new year with a resolution to "buy fewer new things." It's a fantastic resolution but it is an ADJUSTMENT.

Please allow me to re-share my rough sketch of some advanced carbon capture technology
a cartoon with two panels

panel one is a stick figure saying "oh! a fossil fuel!!" standing above a crudely drawn black lump under a brown ground

Panel two is them walking away and saying "I'll just leave it there"

The head of the person is not a drawn circle but the letter O, because the random software I used to draw it did that for unexplained reasons

First fweep. I finished Kaos on Netflix and am CHEESED at its cancellation. Why are streaming platforms so unwilling to invest in high quality storytelling?
