⏮️ The first train to use #Meldreth railway station arrived 175 years ago today, on Monday 3 August 1851. ⏩ Meldreth station link, which opened in 2025, connects the station to #Melbourn. It combines improved walking, wheeling and cycling with an enhanced natural habitat.

#Cambridge park and ride use is now 22% higher than it was in 2023. We’ve supported this growth with the part-funding of electric buses and extensions to Trumpington and Babraham Road park and rides.

Back in 2017, we provided £1.7m in key development funding for the feasibility and business cases of #CambridgeSouth. The new station forms a key part of #Cambridge’s transport network.
