I quit my job. I ate a gigantic donut. I had the most amazing dinner with an astounding appetizer. Got kinda drunk. Got very messed up. Watched two classic movies ("Fantastic Planet" and "Rocky Horror"). Ky wouldn't dance the Timewarp with me, but it was still the best day ever.

My proposal: If you have to lay people off, you have failed as a CEO. The layoff can happen, but you're out, fired, no golden parachute, no nothing. The board can hire someone else to fix the mess, but not you. If we did that, CEOs might not wave layoffs around like they found their father's gun.
