I was thinking recently, people who like Donald Trump like him in the same way as people like Duke Nukem. Duke Nukem’s an asshole, an egomaniac, a manchild, but it’s fun to watch him blow up badguys with guns in a burger joint with his face on the sign.

Personally, I’m fine with the Miranda and Nebula-class starships being bigger than the Constitution and Galaxy-class respectively. Makes sense that the “explorer” types with longer nacelle pylons sacrifice some internal volume for higher warp speeds.

Warhammer 40,000 books describing a menacing alien ship as “city-sized” kinda isn’t helpful because frigates and destroyers, the smallest ships in Battlefleet Gothic, are bigger than any modern city. Plus, the Imperium of Man and Tau Empire both have Trantor-style city-planets.

I kinda feel bad for Anguirus. He developed into Godzilla’s best pal in the Showa-era movies, but over time that role got taken over by Mothra, and by the time of Final Wars Anguirus was just another cannon fodder kaiju.

Anguirus, ankylosaurus-like monster thqt first appeared in Godzilla Raids Again (1955).
