When I have a break at school or a few moments here and there, I don't scroll twitter or whatever and feel like I'm playing roulette of whether I'll see something super funny or super upsetting. No. I just work on my collages. It's freaking awesome!!!

I'm having a lot more fun on pinterest these days than any other app/site. I've been making collages and collecting colorful pictures :) I feel so peaceful and upbeat.

Added a background to my doodle :) Do any of you remember the photography campaign around 2005 called “The Dog Artlist Collection“ ?? I’ve been thinking about it :) #dog #doodle #coloredpencil #gouache #smallartist #artmutuals

A drawing in blue colored pencil of a a dog sitting and happily looking up at the viewer. The background is painted with neon yellow and orange gouache.

Did a doodle of my partner’s dog :) I finished a commission I’m really excited about! But I’m waiting for the commissioner to receive it in the mail before I post it, so have this in the meantime :)

Exactly! And I feel like usually people have so much good life experience and stability by then, so it’s less tumultuous than their 20s. Like, I’ve already come so far in the last seven years, so another three won’t hurt!

Does anyone know if there’s a way to do this on bluesky??

Planning another #petpainting :) I love my neon #gouache paint! I only have four colors (B,G,Y,M) and they don’t mix into new colors very well, but it’s so still fun to look at them together. Which #thumbnail do you think looks best?? It’s hard for me to decide!! 😮‍💨 #wip

Two sheets of paper filled with thumbnail paintings, testing different color combinations between the dog in the foreground and the flat background.

one of the best things about doing pet commissions is that I get to look through pet pictures for hours :D and every new commission is a new cute animal :DDD

What the world needs in 2026 is a relaunch of How It’s Made. I think not enough adults understand how literally anything comes to their hands. And also it’s a fun watch :)

A finished commission! She asked for a painting of her parents’ cat, and requested I use their favorite colors. 🎁🎄She’ll give it to them as a Christmas present!! This one was a huuuuuge “trust the process, don’t give up” one for me 🤣🤣 #traditionalart #watercolor #cat

This photo shows the finished watercolor painting of a blue cat lying down, sticking its tongue out. Details are added with blue colored pencils. The background is various orange shades of colored pencil.

The last two photos show an in-progress watercolor painting of a cat, painted with blue shades. The in-progress versions look very strange or funny, kind of like a medieval drawing of a cat.

Idc if it’s a “recession indicator” or whatever the nerds say. I am LOVING hand making all of my Christmas decorations. only partially because I can’t afford to buy any… but I make them all day every day and LOVE IT!!! because I am unemploye…..

It's actually crazy how every single day there is a new reason I can't go to sleep at a reasonable hour. Like, if I were a kid listing every reason to you, it would totally sound like I'm making it up. but I'm not, I swear!!

I'm doing #traditionalart #commissions of animals! It could be a pet, a favorite animal, or maybe even a fictional animal! This could be a great gift for a friend or family member 😉 Also, if you live/work in a less wealthy country, I would be happy to negotiate a lower price. ☺️ DM me.

Now that I've graduated and am looking for work, I'm a bit tight on money, sooo I decided to try something I've wanted to do since I was a kid: I'M DOING ART COMMISSIONS! 🥳 And because it's traditional art, I will mail the finished painting to the commissioner!! 💌📬 Are you interested? Check my bio!

A graphic which shows examples of my commission options. The options are colored lineart, watercolor base, and finished painting. The top row of pictures show my cat painting in the three stages offered, and the bottom row shows my owl painting in the same three stages.

Look at the awesome spooky horse Paul did for our art trade! (You can see my half, an owl, on my profile.) He does some very moody and atmospheric traditional art, so follow him if you're not already!

I picked a tawny owl bc I’m trying to get more acquainted with the birds where I live :) And I think they look a bit creepy with their black eyes! I tried a bit of dry brushing with the gouache this time, and I like the effect :) If someone else wants to do an art trade, DM me! #wip

My finished painting for my art trade with @paulmediterraneum.bsky.social ! Our prompt was animals and a spooky mood. I did a tawny #owl (kattuggla) and based it off a beautiful stock photo by Stanislav Duben. Process pics in the replies ⤵️ #painting #watercolor #coloredpencils #smallartist

A tawny owl, mid-landing, is sketched in bright green with watercolors and colored pencils. The background is a mix of blue, purple, and magenta and is made with gouache.

I made a fresh Twitter acc to post my art. Tell me why twitter locked my account briefly and then put a temporary label on it 🥲 like I interacted with people too much orrr? I feel like different social media platforms make it so hard to start new accounts these days 🫠 it’s so frustrating

Oh, also! I think the fur was a lot more challenging than my last cat painting. I think it’s easier to represent medium-long hair than short hair, and I don’t feel I was totally successful with this green kitty. 🤔 Something to practice! Does anyone have any tips or references they recommend??

Grax 🦎 Commissions Open! @graxer.bsky.social · 28/10/2025

I tend to make very safe color choices, so I want to keep testing surprising colors. I think the green makes him look like a cute lil alien :) Also, this is one of my first times using gouache. I’m not sure I did it right, but I think I like the texture? #artmoots #wip #traditionalart

Working on another cat painting for a different friend! Still challenging myself with color: today a grey cat turns green! And an even crazier choice you’ll see when I’m done :) #wip

A drawing of a cat laying down. A hand is also visible, index finger extended, as if to boop the cat’s nose. The lines of the drawing are faint, so as not to stand out when they’re painted over.

The same as the previous image except that there is a thin, flat wash of green paint on the cat.

Hi! The term "mutuals" means means that two users follow each other! "Art mutuals" I think is a little more like the users follow each other and also try to support each other with likes, reposts, comments, encouragement, etc.! What you described is an "art trade." And I would be interested!!
