I really need help this month. I have $2400 total in rent to pull together for April. I have $300 in medical/vet debt payments on top of all my normal bills. Also have to pay my first CPAP bill for around $350. I am supporting two people on one income. I have a shop, Patreon, Ko-fi, and GFM.

i very much enjoy watching a guy encounter horrors beyond comphrension. And also independent films succeeding at the box office. #art

It’s a great film with interesting historical context with Taiwan. I actually will probably rewatch soon while i temporarily have Netflix

Right!? Like we can all watch it and enjoy it like we do most queer media that isn’t actually that good but satisfies our cravings for representation and hot gay fluff. The obsession over it as some masterpiece is driving me bonkers lol

Gray @graveyardrave.bsky.social · 03/01/2026

The show was ok. It was hot and fun but it was also a low budget quickly shot, short series. It smashed years of “tension and rivalry” into like 2 episodes. Calm down, go watch your name engraved herein, and get back to me

If I see one more take about how good the yearning was in HR I’m gonna lose it. Majority of the takes feel blown out of proportion to being with but there’s no way y’all truly think a 6 episode show is the peak of yearning. Put the fanfic and smut down, go outside, yearn for better tomorrow

Day job rant- Everyday I’m faced with the knowledge that just about every MD and PhD does NOT know what the word chronological means OLDEST TO NEWEST! It does not mean “in order” it means oldest to newest. Reverse chronological is newest to oldest ITS NOT HARD 😭

August is historically one of my worst months for sales and it is even worse this year. I just put my Fern Fox planters up for preorder. My big Mossback planters are often imitated but you can get the real thing from me in full detail. Sales, shares and tips appreciated. 💜 lnk.bio/verdantsculpts

It’s one of those anime i really need others to watch so I can talk about it but also can’t recommend it to just anyone cus it’s depressing af

Gray @graveyardrave.bsky.social · 22/07/2025

Takopi OG sin’s story and animation is really next level. I can’t even put into words how dark and incredible this show is. The way it captures how immense and heavy actions and words are to kids is unlike anything I’ve seen portrayed before.

Gray @graveyardrave.bsky.social · 17/07/2025

Yea and all the early bird cheap tickets don’t line up with any transfers so there would be almost all day/night layovers. It’s ridiculous how inaccessible and expensive everything becomes when you aren’t traveling to and from only 6 specific cities Why I don’t travel far 🥲

010

Gray @graveyardrave.bsky.social · 17/07/2025

I did check and for some reason it was more expensive? Plus I would then need to uber/lyft to where I’m staying/heading straight to the convention center. The Main Street station having several local bus options is more practical for me

110

Gray @graveyardrave.bsky.social · 17/07/2025

Yea it’s awful. I usually limit myself to just around Philly for non-local since I have family to stay with and drive me around but thought hey RVA would reasonable to try and use as a “vacation” but it’s becoming more stress and money then it’s worth. Regretting it now lol

010

Gray @graveyardrave.bsky.social · 17/07/2025

Just one more reason to just quit doing events after this. Truly just not worth it

120

Gray @graveyardrave.bsky.social · 17/07/2025

Cool apparently RVA doesn’t allow checked bags cus it’s an “unmanned station” so I would need to pack all my stuff into 2 carry-ons… traveling by myself is becoming more and more miserable.

320

Gray @graveyardrave.bsky.social · 17/07/2025

The 10hr is NYC to RVA overnight. But at this point I’m trying to see if I do NYC to DC and then DC to RVA (cus that’s somehow cheaper?) but figuring out that schedule isnt easy

010

Gray @graveyardrave.bsky.social · 17/07/2025

Ugh yea I used to frequently take megabus to Philly but I’ve had one too many bad experiences with buses that are longer than 3hrs so I’m trying to weigh if I wanna risk it 🥲 at least leaving RVA it will only be like 35$ to get to Philly

010

Gray @graveyardrave.bsky.social · 17/07/2025

I really don’t want to take a bus 😭 I’ve done long buses before and it’s always the worst damn experiences

220

Gray @graveyardrave.bsky.social · 17/07/2025

So I could book an Amtrak train from NYC to DC , a 3hr early bird for 25$ but if I wanna go to Richmond late night 10hr ride and 100$?! WHY Trying to figure out how I’m getting to Richmond next month is proving impossible or way more expensive than it needs to be

250

Gray @graveyardrave.bsky.social · 15/07/2025

Experimenting with some leftover window cling sheets I have that I didn’t want to waste. Definitely not easy to work with but such a fun effect even if imperfect

Gray @graveyardrave.bsky.social · 14/07/2025

So yea it’s all very fucked up and I’ll be in debt until I die 👍🏻

020

Gray @graveyardrave.bsky.social · 14/07/2025

And fun fact I still have another private student loan and federal loans for a degree that got me a job that didn’t afford me the ability to repay any of these. And all the previous number are only based on if they starting collecting now which they haven’t

120

Gray @graveyardrave.bsky.social · 14/07/2025

In fact - based on some quick math it will take me another 25 years to pay back this debt and more than double (like 60% interest vs 40% debt) on top of the 30k interest I’d already paid the company they will in total have profited 135k in just interest and over 200k total

120

Gray @graveyardrave.bsky.social · 14/07/2025

It’s a cycle built to keep people in debt, paycheck to paycheck, and everyone else far wealthier. I will never be able to own a house or a car because it would then be seized to pay the debt. So unless I stumble upon 69k I’m trapped.

120

Gray @graveyardrave.bsky.social · 14/07/2025

More fucked up is that garnishments also have interest currently sitting at 9% according to the NY website. So not only is the debt high because of previous interest but I’ll still have to pay interest until I pay it off which will takes decades and probably be again- double the amount

120

Gray @graveyardrave.bsky.social · 14/07/2025

Frustratingly tho the 30k I paid over the years to the loan servicer doesn’t affect shit cus I still owed them (thanks to internet) more than I took out. So I should have just never paid them a dime. They will still profit off me a ridiculous amount

120

Gray @graveyardrave.bsky.social · 14/07/2025

Fucked it but kinda beneficial? Based on what i calculated the garnishment would actually be less money then the prior student loan payments I couldn’t afford to begin with. Lendkey demanded almost 1.2k a month from me, garnishment will be less than half that amount

120

Gray @graveyardrave.bsky.social · 14/07/2025

Working on legal name change and having to think about my active judgment for private student loan debt since I will have to notify them of my name change which could cause them to actively pursue wage garnishment and I just wanna share some fucked up things about it
