Little sneak peak of a new game I will be running very soon:

Hey all! Wanna do something a little different and shout out a fellow DM. Been playing with this guy for a bit and he’s really good! I’ll admit I’m doing this for selfish reasons as I am a player in this game 😂 but I do think he deserves the attention. Join us! startplaying.games/adventure/cm...

Not defending this game, all evidence points to it being a big disappointment, but if it serves to drive bigoted man-children like this away from the hobby I consider that an absolute win. Enjoy misery shitstain 🖕 fixupx.com/hayasaka_ary...

Is there a game (video game or TTRPG) you have ever played intentionally in a way it wasn’t made to be played? (E.g. playing stardew valley in dnd or doing a city builder in an RTS game) And if so, how did it go?

My players decided it would be funny to immortalize my failure on the internet. I am both proud and extremely annoyed 😂 ashelydmorgm.com

You guys are awesome! Congrats on the Diamond settlement by the way!

Ash Ely @gravenashes.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

That really means a lot to me! I often felt like I was shouting into the void so hearing that it was appreciated feels awesome ❤️

010

Ash Ely @gravenashes.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

That’s so sweet! I’m glad you enjoyed them! I meant to finish it but life started to get in the way and I couldn’t justify continuing it as they are so much work. Also Endwalker was just tough for me to completely communicate what it meant to me and the weight of expectations.

Welp. There goes my good day I guess.

So freaking good 😆 if it doesn’t win GOTY then what are we even doing here? Thanks for being a fan of the podcast! Glad you like our wild adhd gremlin style of content lol

Ash Ely @gravenashes.bsky.social · 07/08/2025

I mean yeah I suppose you could argue that’s similar. But not all abilities require hope in DH whereas in E33 everything costs AP. Hope feels more like something you will hoard then spend while AP is just your basic resource. It’s an interesting thought nonetheless.

100

Ash Ely @gravenashes.bsky.social · 05/08/2025

Oooh that is cool didn’t know that!

010

Ash Ely @gravenashes.bsky.social · 18/07/2025

I’m not sure how similar they are. Could you elaborate?

Hey yall I’m looking to fill at least one or two more slots for my season of ghosts game. As of right now we have three players and it makes the games a bit inconsistent when even one person drops out. It’s probably the best AP that I’ve read. Newbies welcome! startplaying.games/adventure/cm...

The Grick only had 3 hp left so there was still a chance with two d8s for the spell that the psychic rolled two ones. We had him roll and all held our breath as they showed up as a 12!! I decided that since I didn’t factor in that unique bonus it was ok to retcon this once. What an insane wild ride!

230

Ash Ely @gravenashes.bsky.social · 08/07/2025

The next turn the Grick brought him down and I officially declared it a TPK. We were all devastated and in shock. But as we talked about what we could have done different one of the players (who else but quasit?) pointed out the +1 buff they got from the shrine upstairs hadn’t been factored in

140

Ash Ely @gravenashes.bsky.social · 08/07/2025

The players all knew the psychic couldn’t survive another round with this thing so it all came down to this last roll. It has an AC of 19 and…the psychic rolled an 18 x.x. Used a hero point…and it was even worse.

120

Ash Ely @gravenashes.bsky.social · 08/07/2025

Suffice to say things were looking bad. First the Druid goes down and then the champion, leaving just the psychic to go mono-a-mono with this thing. The psychic managed to do some serious damage to the Grick until it had only 3 hp. The Grick somehow managed to miss all its attacks

120

Ash Ely @gravenashes.bsky.social · 08/07/2025

Two of the players are brand new to pf2 and they just leveled up to level 2. At the beginning of the dungeon there is a level 3 Grick. This is considered a moderate encounter for their level. Problem was my players were rolling like dog water while I got three nat 19s on three separate turns

120

Ash Ely @gravenashes.bsky.social · 08/07/2025

Ok I had the WILDEST session of PF2 just now. I’m running a three person adventure of Crown of the Kobold King for my Planescape players and we very nearly had a TPK

If that’s something you’re interested in (like really interested in) please repost this post so I can gauge interest. The module for kingmaker is hella expensive so I want to know if it’s worth it.
