My memory is terrible. Memory is a strange thing but what you're saying is very helpful as you and the others must have known and had the ability to buy tickets. If those posters were not up in time then Probe and Skeleton must have been advertising as well as selling tickets?

The contemporary evidence leans heavily towards Sex Pistols being a very late addition - only officially confirmed two days before they played, no mention in the Echo on the 9th when discussing the success, diary notes, posters being made for Runaways for the 8th but Brownies for the 15th.

I remember someone telling me there was a brief moment in 1960 when Beatnik men had long hair rather than the stereotype of goatee beards, short hair, black polo necks and horn rimmed glasses. And here's some footage. They look like time-travellers from Woodstock www.facebook.com/reel/1383180...

I only discovered this album existed yesterday and it's great. It's on the same label as The Watersons' Bright Phoebus, so, already in great company. Dark drones and spooky folky goings-on, helped by the backing band including Martin Carthy, Tim Hart and Ashley Hutchings.

For the record there was nothing audacious about it at all. We thought it was funny that someone would say that about our band and we put it at the start of the record for a laugh 🤷
