🌟Happy 26th Anniversary to Paper Mario! 🌟 #PaperMario

Paper Mario 64 is my favorite game of all time. The story, characters, vibes and world are all pure Mario, more than any other game to me. The simplicity of the story is Bowser kidnaps Peach, and Mario goes to rescue her. This time though, the Mushroom Kingdom comes alive to greet the adventure. Fully exploring the mythology of the stars, expanding on previous Mushroom Kingdom races and locations that goes on to impact the entire Mario series, not just Paper Mario. The characters don't have the craziest stories, and many of the partners almost disappear once they join the party, which is one thing that TTYD absolutely does better. Their personalities, quirks and designs are so freaking good though. Parakarry is my favorite Mario character behind only Mario, both for personal reasons and loving his design, and this playthrough cemented that for me. This was also the game that solidified who Bowser is. A goofy guy, but a threat that needs to be taken seriously. RPG may have begun that characterization, but Paper Mario brought it to the forefront. When I think of Toad Town, Yoshi's Island, Dry Dry Desert, Star Hill and all of the Mushroom Kingdom in general. This world is the Mushroom Kingdom. Every other game to have an explorable Mushroom Kingdom after this one just makes me think of Paper Mario. It made me feel a little silly, but when Wish of a Princess started playing during the final battle with Bowser, it gave me chills. I listen to that song all the time, and it still got me. I love this game so much, and I found so many new things while playing through it again that I've never seen before. Paper Mario 64 is my favorite game of all time.

Happy 40th Anniversary to Metroid!! #Metroid #Samus #40thAnniversary

After Mario Metroid is by far my favorite series out there! I just replayed Samus Returns, and it’s such a fun game. Samus is so awesome and I cannot wait to see what is in store for her and her world next!

A bit late, but Star Fox on Switch 2 is out! With him in the Galaxy Movie, as well as his own big game, it really feels like Star Fox is here to stay! #StarFox

Some more Majora's Mask redesigns! These characters didn't fit the premise of the project, but I still wanted to take a stab at them :) Adult Kafei, the Giants, and a Mysterious Man...

One last Yoshi post before the Direct tomorrow! This was an awesome game with some super fun lore, and I’m glad we got it! Now we’re onto the craziness that is the mega Direct tomorrow!!! 😁

Of all the new creatures in the Mysterious Book, these guys are my favorite. A terrifying camouflaged bug with scythes for hands? That’s amazing 🤩

What a kind gentle giant. The fact that you can name the creatures in the Mysterious Book is so silly to me. Problem is, I’m so obsessed with Cannon there’s no way I’d give them some other name 😅

What a strange beautiful bubblegum creature 🤣 Somehow it never crossed my mind to draw these little guys before! Gotta love a new game giving light to the old little guys

First off, holy cow was I off on numbering, sorry about that. Second off. This Frog is too cute. For being a game all about introducing brand new creatures, I want to actually add a few of them to this, so expect a few more over the coming days!

This guy has been a long time coming. One of the weirdest playable characters ever, in Tetris attack, the release of Yoshi and the Mysterious Book finally got him on here! What a strange fish guy.

It’s Rattly! One of the more prevalent Animal Buddies, who has a street, and a bridge named after him! Figured it was only right to include him when he finally got his trophy in Bananza!

The Gale of Darkness over Orre is at an end! #Pokemon #ShadowLugia

I just beat Gale of Darkness after it came out on NSO! A fun game that I’m super nostalgic for! Even though my team was super weak(I’m probably one of the few people to actually use Ledian on my final team😅) I’ve wanted to use them all again for a while now! Also, I loved how low poly Arcanine was, so he’s repping his blocky form here too! If you haven’t experienced this game, you should!

All the Major Bosses from Super Mario Galaxy are here! These bosses are my childhood, and I’m glad to finally get them all here!

093

Grant GM @grantgm.bsky.social · 06/04/2026

Wha-Haha-ha!! Kamella is here to throw that Mario for a wild ride! It’s still strange to me that this was a completely original boss and not Kamek or Kammey. So many similar Matilda’s. Wonder if they’re related at all…

Brrrr… it’s April. It shouldn’t be snowing anymore Baron! It should be spring now, not Christmas again!

Another creepy bug! Tarantox and the Flig pods are such a weird boss. He’s got a fun design though, and his little wings just make me laugh

Grant GM @grantgm.bsky.social · 02/04/2026

I did see them, yeah! I drew this before I saw the movie, which is the real reason I haven’t drawn them 😅 So many awesome characters in the movie, so we shall see those once the main guys are done!

It’s Bug Time! Starting with the scourge of HoneyHive, Bugaboom! Mandibug stack unfortunately didn’t make it. Primarily because that’s just two bugs on top of each other…
