Was looking up how to get Brionac for Judith and somehow ended down a rabbit hole on a 100% guide. I don't know HOW you could have gotten half the stuff in this game back during the OG release without one. Some of the criteria is so specific!!

Tales of Vesperia calls Raven "Old Man" more than it actually calls him Raven and he complains about being tired and how his back aches all the time and how people don't appreciate sexy middle aged men and then you look up his age and he's 35.

THIS SCENE WAS SO CUTE. Absolutely worth getting Levitation for. Eden Riegel's voice acting here made Estelle's laughter sound so precious 🥰🥹

MFW I'm watching a Vesperia 100% walkthrough and I see Duke show up outside of the main storyline for the fourth fucking time

If I didn't have work tomorrow, I'd try to see if I can (at the very least) clear Tarqaron and beat Vesperia in one session tonight. I can't imagine it's any longer than Ghardia Shaft and Lastalia Shaft were in Graces F. After the weekend it is, then 🤓

Editing day turned out to be a drawing day i.e. I wrapped up a drawing I started on my lunch break at work yesterday. I kind of like doing these daily pieces. They make for good practice.

Did a quick lookup on Labyrinth of Memories and Necropolis of Nostalgia, and they both sound like very long dungeons. I don't see myself doing a NG+ run anytime soon and I'm not sure if any of the postgame stuff carries over to one, but at most I want to see what they're like.

Grand the Phoenix @grandthephoenix.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

Did a short session tonight, but I am definitely in the homestretch in finishing up Vesperia. Might try to get the story done sometime this week, at the very least.

I was hoping to get Zaude done on tonight's session, but (1) the Yeager fight was a hassle (wiped once and couldn't break down his shields) and (2) I went to look up a guide on the water puzzle to see what I missed - which was apparently standing on the LEFT SIDE OF THE ROCK PLATFORM to go up 💢💢💢

Grand the Phoenix @grandthephoenix.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

Zaude, to me, is starting to feel like one of those places where you need someone in the party with the AOE to make the fights easier (e.g. Raven, Rita) because these mobs know how to chip down HP pretty damn quickly.

Velvet from Tales of Berseria. She's a sweet normal gal who totally isn't plotting revenge, eating her enemies, or otherwise acting in ways that would disqualify her from Disney Princesshood or anything 😇

Ended up doing sidequests and grinding skills in tonight's Vesperia session. Honestly, given how much content I had to have missed on a first-time playthrough up to this point (opened up Zaude), it's probably best to just keep going and finish the rest of the game.

Went to go see Coyote vs. Acme yesterday. It was a good movie! I loved seeing all the cameos and the throwbacks to the old Wile-Road Runner cartoons. I'd recommend it!

Interesting time for the game to decide it needs to crash and close out every other battle in the Imperial Castle, right before the Sword Stair 🙃 Not that it's been constant, but it's so odd that it just does *that*.

So I'm playing Tales of Vesperia hoping to finish it this time, and don't ask me why but I find this scene early on with Estelle and Yuri hilarious when she tries to smash him with a vase.

Started watching a 100% Vesperia playthrough to see what I missed and learned you can meet Duke for the first time at Deidon Hold less than an hour into the game.

Sloooowly feels like I'm getting close to Vesperia's endgame now. I'd say I probably have about 10-12 hours left, side quests notwithstanding.

The chances of it happening are next to zero, but I want to see a Tales game where one of the party members is an older woman. But then I think: if Raven is considered "old" by the cast (despite being THIRTY-FIVE), then by Tales standards, an older woman would be halfway into the grave 🙃

//tov spoilers JFC Schwann hits like a damn truck. I might actually spend my next session level-grinding for a bit. Or at least adjust my skills and swap Flynn out somebody else who won't be pausing every few seconds to pop a gel and getting his face shoved into the dirt 🙃

Grand the Phoenix @grandthephoenix.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

I think I'm on the third act now...? Or, if not that, I'm very close to it; Flynn's back in the party now after a long time. There's still a ways to go, though.

I've been thinking this for a while, but I want to try to do note-taking for when I start my next RPG. I'd do this with Vesperia, but I'm deep enough into it as it is, and I'd argue it's even longer than Graces F at this point, so a game like that deserves a Story Mode run or a watch on YouTube.

Opened up the status screen to check out some accessories I synthesized while farming mats/hunting Giganto Monsters and got hit with this. Pure aura.
