Friendly reminder that the documentary that Joe Lanza and @voicesofwrestling.com did on Eddie Gilbert is HIGHLY worth the price of their paywall for a month. Its absolutely tremendous work. www.voicesofwrestling.com/2023/12/13/j...

I wrestled him in back to back years of On Point Wrestling's Masters of the Mat tournament. We're 1-1. A guy who pushed me to the next level, and I absolutely love him for that.

One of my favorite opponents, particularly in a tournament setting. Delighted to see Tony Deppen in the mix at PPL.

I'm not saying NJPW is all the way back, but I'm into this year's G1 so far.

A surreal time in pro wrestling. We were still watching Japanese wrestling on 3rd generation VHS, but if you dug deep enough there was some wild stuff happening on North American television. Shotgun and Los Super Astros looks crazy with 2025 eyes.

Dean Malenko gifted Shijiro Otani the original WCW Cruiserweight belt Otani challenged Malenko for in 1996! 🤼 What a cool gesture from Dean.

Heartbroken to be missing this, but a bicep tendon injury has forced me onto the sidelines for the moment. This weekend has always been extra special to me. In addition to being "Aniversario weekend" it's also the anniversary of my son passing. That's why I missed the shows after my rudo turn in 05.

This week's @voicesofwrestling.com Flagship podcast delivered a Sabu obituary that is THE all timer. The man was shown the respect he earned. If you know how significant Sabu was, or you're someone who wants to learn, this is must listen.

Gran Akuma @granakuma.bsky.social · 11/05/2025

To me, this was always THE Sabu moment in his brief WWE run. The man somehow paused on the top rope FOR ETERNITY before hitting the leg drop.

I have now finished it. VR GOTY. Cool puzzles, and a PHENOMENAL story. I'm already ready for a sequel. ...or some additional ghosts/chapters as post launch DLC? You could totally do post launch content where you just work your way to a ghost and free them without furthering the main story...

010

Gran Akuma @granakuma.bsky.social · 27/04/2025

I haven't finished it yet, but so far Ghost Town is phenomenal. I love puzzle adventure games, but this brings so much more to the table than just satisfying puzzles. I'm completely sucked into the story. I can't recommend this enough.

Social Distortion X Gran Naniwa. Me in a nutshell!

020

Gran Akuma @granakuma.bsky.social · 01/04/2025

I heard a lot of kind words about how I looked (physically) returning to the ring last night. If you want to know how real body dysphoria can be, I nearly canceled off the show because I felt like I didn't look like I belonged in a ring. Be kind to yourself. You're probably your own worst critic.

You won’t read a better wrestling article anytime soon. Imperative reading, especially if you hate Tony Khan because he’s the son of a billionaire or because he doesn’t give you (a journalist) good comped seats or something like that

It's a small thing, but listing Cole and McAfee as "Okerlund" is cool to me. Say what you will about Triple H era WWE, but he definitely seems to have a higher regard for pro wrestling history. Considering how much of pro wrestling history WWE owns, that's a good thing.

I see we're well on the way to becoming Twitter 2.0. All we need now is people defending her by saying that if she lied, she "must have had a good reason"...

For a while now, I've thought the kind of indie wrestling I miss no longer existed. When I found out some people wanted to change that, I couldn't say yes fast enough.

Social media has weirdly conditioned a huge number of people to feel like they're Doing Something by posting, and Doing Nothing if they don't post about a particular thing, and in general neither of those things are true.

Cool thing about Batman Arkham Shadow #482: You can use the heavy bag in Lockup's office.

0111

Gran Akuma @granakuma.bsky.social · 12/11/2024

Once you come to terms with the rhythm based combat in Batman Arkham Shadow, it's so much fun.

010

Gran Akuma @granakuma.bsky.social · 11/11/2024

With Thrill Of The Fight 2 starting out as multi-player only, I could easily see this blowing up. Might have been tougher for them going up against a game as well established as TOTF, but I think people want a single player experience...especially if they're using it as a fitness app.

010

Gran Akuma @granakuma.bsky.social · 10/11/2024

This seems like a small thing, but physically doing something (rather than pushing a button and watching the game do it for you) like this volumetric puzzle in Batman Arkham Shadow is what makes VR games so much cooler to me than flat games.
