If I had a Slavic surname, I’d avoid the subject

For a man with a Slavic surname he puts a lot of store in “pure Englishness”.

Dropping interest rates to control inflation? That’s a Donald Trump policy

Minimum 25 the size of HMP Berwyn. Find those sites, where they’re needed, then find the staff and services to run them. Waste of money to be locking up so many. Won’t be a deterrent and won’t address causes of crime

Who were Home Secretary and Immigration ministers in 2023?

Who did the Prison Service inherit the prison service from BBC news”A spokesperson for HM Prison Service said: "We inherited prisons on the brink of collapse after just 500 net places were added to the estate in the 14 years to July 2024, and are pulling every lever possible to fix this “

I have tried to tell people this in the past, and they either don’t believe it or don’t want to. The Government would do themselves a huge favour by publicising what asylum applications do get.

I’ll say what I want. It could get much worse. You must know this. Not sure what you would be happy with at the end of the day

Fair enough. Can’t argue that. Except, it could be much much worse. Only hope Burnham can turn it round.

Good. A ridiculous process that proved nothing about a candidates potential to do the actual job, but play the system.

If you think Starmer is the worst Prime Minister for those reason( I respect your view) then the potential for worse to come is huge. I think he had to go because he tried to pacify bigots and bullies, but for me the country is better and would have been worse with another party.

Depends on your circumstances I suppose.

All it shows is why Starmer had to step aside. It’s a subjective question anyway, but lots of evidence that Starmer is right. But he would never get any credit from a lot of Labour supporters never mind r/w. That was his failure to engage and explain.

They have all tried to appease the far right. Had Sunak and Starmer been prepared to push back, their legacy could have been different. Hope Burnham didn’t do the same

However, when they had Johnson in a bind in 2019, they allowed him an early vote, when holding fast would have blocked brexit. They have some dumb advisors at times

And if you do all go in 5 days a week, where will you all sit? Pre pandemic strategy was to reduce office space and encourage remote working. Part of me would love to see what happens
