Graham Brack @grahambrack.bsky.social · 20/01/2026Yet another one - the last audiobook for now - out today on Spotify. Other suppliers may follow. Alex Wyndham does a really good job of these books. 122
Graham Brack @grahambrack.bsky.social · 14/01/2026For those who like audiobooks, another one is out today. Or, if you don't want the book, just enjoy Alex Wyndham's voice. 031
Graham Brack @grahambrack.bsky.social · 02/01/2026Last seven days to pre-order at a special price before publication. Go on, treat yourself! 020
Graham Brack @grahambrack.bsky.social · 25/11/2025Yet another attempt to pick your pocket. In which Mercurius is forced to endure a certain amount of luxury... 151
Graham Brack @grahambrack.bsky.social · 02/09/2025Like buses, no sooner is one book around than another queues behind it. Due out on 9th January, 2026. Spend your Christmas money on it. Wife and family to support. 161
Graham Brack @grahambrack.bsky.social · 02/07/2025Great news! Tantor Media have recorded four more of my Master Mercurius books as audiobooks. They'll be released from October to December this year, read by the outstanding Alex Wyndham (who read the first three). They'll be available on Audible. Further details here: tantor.com/author/graha...tantor.comTantor Media - Graham BrackGraham Brack is the author of the Master Mercurius Mystery series and the Josef Slonský Investigations series. Graham Brack @grahambrack.bsky.social · 17/06/2025He's back. Time to save your pennies and get those orders in. Tell your friends what they're missing. In this one Slonský: · falls out with a friend · gets into disciplinary trouble · drinks beer and eats sausages 041
Graham Brack @grahambrack.bsky.social · 29/05/2025I don't have a publication date for the next Slonský story, but I do have a title and a cover! I'll let you know when it's ready for pre-order. In the Communist era, where did Prague's leading women go to relax? But now its driving force is dead, and the Ladies' Lounge seems to be implicated in it. 030
Graham Brack @grahambrack.bsky.social · 20/04/2025I've been writing again. 10 authors writing short stories about a ring, in aid of The Reading Agency which partners with public libraries to run children's and adults' initiatives. £2.99 for ebook, paperback to follow. mybook.to/TheRingAntho... Graham Brack @grahambrack.bsky.social · 21/02/2025The girls know that when we cross the road they switch hands so I stay walking on the road side of the pavement. I was slow to move today so the 4-y-o told me that I need to be by the road because a car might hurt her but adults don’t mind being hit by cars. 0160
Graham Brack @grahambrack.bsky.social · 18/02/2025The first draft of the eighth Slonský adventure is complete. Now to put it aside a few days until I forget the plot and can re-read it for editing without seeing what I want to see. 160
Graham Brack @grahambrack.bsky.social · 27/01/2025Nineteen years ago we went to Auschwitz-Birkenau. Each hearth was once a hut, each hut was once full. Prisoners were stripped naked before being shot at this wall so their uniforms would not be spoiled. This happened before I was born, but it must be remembered after I am gone. 081
Graham Brack @grahambrack.bsky.social · 13/12/2024New router set up today, so the rest of the morning will be occupied in connecting every device in the house to it including inputting the password at least 12 times, often using an onscreen keyboard and going up down left right. 140
Graham Brack @grahambrack.bsky.social · 01/12/2024We just had our carol walk in one of our parishes. The village is encouraged to have their lights up by tonight, then all who wish walk from the village hall round the village to the church, sing some carols, decorate the church tree, and walk together to the pub. Wonderful! 070
Graham Brack @grahambrack.bsky.social · 28/11/2024A very Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends. We can't be there this year, but we have happy memories of Thanksgiving meals with friends and family in Georgia. 010
Graham Brack @grahambrack.bsky.social · 27/11/2024I'm not in the USA this Thanksgiving, but this is the time when I customarily try to explain to my fellow Britons that in some American homes the turkey will be deep-fried. Whole. Honestly. youtu.be/QBmBC0cJWjAyoutu.beHow to Deep Fry a Turkey | The Home DepotYouTube video by The Home Depot 020
Graham Brack @grahambrack.bsky.social · 26/11/2024The 4-y-o is keen to have a pet, but Daddy is allergic to cats and dogs. She is looking for a pet that won't roam the house, and has just confided that she is torn between a rabbit and a gorilla. Gorillas, it seems, are tickly. David Attenborough has a lot to answer for. 150
Graham Brack @grahambrack.bsky.social · 25/11/2024I showed some young children (Recp/Yr1/Yr2) around the church today. They decided the altar must be the most important bit because it was high up so everyone could see it, were fascinated by the aumbry, tried to count the crosses on things, loved the kneelers, wished they could try the bells... 160
Graham Brack @grahambrack.bsky.social · 25/11/2024The 4-y-o has learned, thanks to diligent practice over the weekend, to say the th- in the, these, those, correctly, and is now inserting them in every sentence she can to milk the applause. (Previously she said it as an aspirated t.) 020
Graham Brack @grahambrack.bsky.social · 25/11/2024I see the women who can’t be bothered to get dressed before posting have turned up on Bluesky claiming to be fascinated by my views on cricket. 150
Graham Brack @grahambrack.bsky.social · 24/11/2024Reading a conservator's report on one of our churches, it is fascinating to learn that it is old enough to have been reordered c 1250-1300. Of course, they didn't have to worry about listed building consent and Diocesan Advisory Committees in those days, which is why it took less than 50 years. 040
Graham Brack @grahambrack.bsky.social · 24/11/2024Every year I read A Christmas Carol on the Sunday next before Christmas. I will also listen to Ryba's Czech Christmas Mass and Ramirez' Navidad Nuestra. Do you have any Christmas traditions (fit for discussion on social media, that is)? 350
Graham Brack @grahambrack.bsky.social · 18/11/2024I have been immersing myself in the 13th century English wool trade for a thing I’m writing, and it’s completely absorbing. Who knew sheep were so interesting? 250
Graham Brack @grahambrack.bsky.social · 17/11/2024Just a note that my latest Slonský book "The Murdered Molls" is an Amazon Kindle deal today. A mere 99p secures you your very own copy - amazon.co.uk/Murdered-Molls 0115
Graham Brack @grahambrack.bsky.social · 12/11/2024I think the Archbishop of Canterbury's resignation was inevitable, but he must not become a scapegoat for the failings of others. There are others who have not apologised or resigned, and the guns will now pivot to be trained on them. 060
Graham Brack @grahambrack.bsky.social · 03/09/2024Only ten days left in the preorder period. It's a standalone story, but don't let that stop you reading the seven tat have preceded it. The e-book is less than the price of most takeaway coffees and it won't go cold before you get it home. 042
Graham Brack @grahambrack.bsky.social · 24/11/2023Best not delay in case they run out of ebooks. The paperbacks will be available a couple of days later. Slonský is in hospital, and someone in Human Resources has annoyed him, hence the bad mood. 060
