I am going to need @nebula.tv and Patreon to steup, maybe even team up. Both have the content I want. Nebula doesn't have a good discovery mechanism, Patreon doesn't have a TV app to let me watch the way I want that content. I think it's time for those Wonder Twin Powers to Activate!

Our Aussie once loved my spouse’s copy of Zen in the Art of Writing by Ray Bradbury. Luckily he loved it sooo much that he got her a new copy for Christmas.

I will say that this happens so reliably I have to wonder if Grindr is restricting service in the area, or at the very least failing to accommodate for predicted traffic specifically to claim the headline.

It was the Valentine’s Day hate-watch of choice in my college dorm days back in the 90’s. So it has a nostalgia factor for me, but it was never good.

I don’t know why everyone is so worried about ICE officers getting shock gloves. You know the first thing these guys will do is grab a colleague by the balls. Best possible outcome.

Don’t give them a choice! They are going with option B every time. That’s how we ended up where we are.

I think your assumption that consumers are proactively choosing poor quality goods as a statement of anything other than the affordability of alternatives shows a bias in your theory.

I was just watching a video essay about why conservatives misunderstand the stories they love is that they are responding exclusively to the aesthetics, not the themes or symbolism. AI is all aesthetics without any depth or soul. It’s a natural fit.

Well I am waiting to get the “pre-approval” for my meds. I don’t know what the “pre” part is - they’ve already been prescribed. Of course I’m not sure what the approval part is either… because they’ve already been prescribed… I guess the insurance company gets first & last say in what meds I get.

What good is a fine as punishment when someone can release a crypto offering that can be bought entirely by a single person willing to underwrite bad faith actors?

Despite their outsized salaries professional athletes are still working folks. They have to play by the same economic rules as anyone else who punches the clock. But there’s a class for whom those rules simply don’t exist.

Now is the time to bring any open secrets into the light. There will never be a better year to oust incumbents who don’t deserve to be our representatives. Shame them into resigning and replace them with worthy candidates!

It totally tracks the our country which has no serious healthcare policy would have a President that says stuff that should get us all a National Sick Day. But instead we go to work like life is normal.

What disposable income do you think we can withhold? I’ve bought exactly 1 pair of pants for myself in the last 6 months - and they were 50% off. We can’t break an economy that keeps us broke!

They don’t make money off customers buying their products. The money comes from investors buying their hype. A stable, reliable class-leading application just means you are NOT in a class of your own.

The Republicans are GREAT at thwarting Democratic programs and priorities from the minority. The day I see Buttigieg risk his likability for something he believes in I’ll follow him.

I don’t have the answers. I’m a stressed out customer-service representative. I’m not asking to lead. I am asking others to lead. But if your answer to the problems of the Trump administration is “vote for me instead” then you don’t have the creative problem solving skills we need right now.

Just networking for an eventual Presidential run. He’s allowing a vacuum of leadership now so he can stand up to offer to fill it in the next national cycle. I’m sick of Democrats sitting on the goddamn sidelines promising they’ll do better later while they do nothing now.

Actually one reason that AI gets so many requests is because web searches already suck so bad. When I need something specific I will ask an AI (like Gemini) to search for specific keywords and exclude results from Amazon, Etsy, Walmart, etc.

000

Matthew Mayer @grafixgeek.bsky.social · 06/02/2026

This is a criticism of AI that’s new to me, but I’m interested! AI as an effort to make “art” an act of consumption and not creation is kind of breaking my brain. Of course anyone who has ever bought an art supply knows there’s always been economics involved, but never of the inspiration til now.
