I work in construction and know people that I like that are “ideologically opposite” to me and there is definitely a lot of common ground. So I do believe that communicating good ideas effectively will go a long way on the left, but trust me in saying most people aren’t interested in your opinion

This though, does show another advantage to hard-building bike lanes, rather than just using paint. If the Bloor bike lanes were just paint, they'd be gone tomorrow. Because it is a multi-million dollar process to remove them, we still have time, and fight, left.

NYers always brag about their 24/7 subway system but that means there is no white space for maintenance and you need service disruptions to address it. Which means you have less time to do work because operations doesn’t want that. So now this you have metro in the worst condition in the world.

Jokey map of possible residential side street alternatives to the Yonge Street bike lane from Bloor to St Clair.

The main streets are Avenue Road, Yonge Street, Mt Pleasant road.

The shops and restaurants are on Yonge.

The possible side street is an impossible windy path that involves tossing your bike over a gated cemetery and criss-crossing Yonge several times

Finally finished my redesign of the PATH map. I redid the current spaghetti-like map into one closer resembling a subway map with numbered buildings à la the Tokyo Metro Map. I've often seen tourists (or even longtime residents) try to use the PATH and just end up going back upstairs.
My redesigned PATH map with subway-like lines. Blue from the CBC Building (Blue 1) to King Station, Red from Union Station to the Atrium on Bay (Red 23), Pink from Union Station to 10 Dundas St E (Pink 16), Green from Union Station to 10 Dundas St E (Green 15), Cyan from Union Station to the Union Station Bus Terminal, and Purple from Union Station to the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal (Purple 6)Directory showing what buildings are at each line-combination
