Privatizing anything generally does not work out well. Medicare Advantage plans are privatized & are 💩 at best. SS will not fare better…….allows for too much corporate greed.

For sure! As a retired provider, I recommend traditional Medicare & a supplement if still available. That’s what we have & it’s hands down the best insurance we’ve ever had. I didn’t accept Advantage plans when I was working bc of low allowables & high denial rates.

My sister had a surgery that was supposed to be 10 hrs…..16 hrs later they finally finished. Imagine what could have happened….surgeon rushing, sister being responsible for the 6 hrs not covered, etc. Health care should not be determined by insurance companies

I had bilateral mastectomy bc I had breast cancer & the brca mutation. Standard Medicare & supplement paid all but $83.00. Friend on UHC had $7000.00 out of pocket for the same surgery.

The Congressional pockets being filled by insurance lobbyists is why it won’t happen. Medicare for all would be much cheaper & better coverage, but greedy politicians will never pass a bill. If they did, insurance co’s profits would disappear bc they’d be out of business.

For the safety of everyone, we all need to keep ours dogs on a leash. Our dog gets so excited to greet other dogs that often she appears aggressive. We are working on appropriate approaching behavior and I completely understand others caution of her.

So glad to hear there is a good bookstore in Ann Arbor! I loved the flagship Borders when I was at UofM many, many years ago. It was before they expanded and it was a magical place!
