Today outside the Glasgow trial for the Nakba day arrestees (Mothers Against Genocide)

Had a wonderful time in Edinburgh for Scottish Documentary Institute's pitch day My first time going and it was amazing to see how it all works, and speak to so many people who care about telling important stories 🤍

The short film which I edited, that screened at Glasgow short film festival a few days ago, has this end credit. The director (Lipa Hussain) said this about it.

End credit from the film saying 'we honour the Palestinian story tells who stories we will never know and those who stories will rise from the ashes'
Then below the comment from the Director "I can't remember if I posted about this before but in the end credits of our film we pay homage to Palestinian film makers. A huge part of the script was written from the despair and rage from seeing a live stream genocide is currently taking place .
A credit page feels holy and sufficient in the grand scheme of things. But what has been most interesting? Is one of the film is screened the amount of people who come up to me afterwards and are incredibly receptive and appreciative of the acknowledgement of film makers even though there's still so much censorship and creative spaces I'm really glad we can use our projects/platforms to advocate. and also thank you to the film festival who select a film even with this credit page despite censorship."

I just got to see a short documentary film I edited in the cinema for the first time! I absolutely love Glasgow Short Film Festival, and it was amazing to be selected for it 💝 It felt really good seeing it on the big screen. Lots of great responses to it
