Geoff K @gpkay.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Some gross villainy for your weekend! Happy Friday, folks 🙂 2170
Geoff K @gpkay.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Oh, I am deeply jealous of that, congrats man 👏👏👏 In celebration, here’s a bit of Aussie weirdness 1200
Geoff K @gpkay.bsky.social · 19/09/2026Definitely. And from memory Frank throws in a really nice, Sterank-y double page splash of the Heli-carrier? Great fun. 130
Geoff K @gpkay.bsky.social · 19/09/2026That issue is so good. Perez cover with Miller interiors? Come on. 130
Geoff K @gpkay.bsky.social · 04/09/2026That’s a great book, V! That whole little Loki / New Mutants / Aloha Flight thing was awesome. Another couple of sigs on this’n, Jim Starlin and Howard Chaykin. Have a top weekend, folks 🙂 1140
Geoff K @gpkay.bsky.social · 02/09/2026Couple of fresh arrivals this morning. Stray Bullets is one of those books I’ve been meaning to check out for years and never gotten around to. And if his FF Full Circle volume was anything to go by, Alex Ross’ Dimensions should be a hoot. 010
Geoff K @gpkay.bsky.social · 28/08/2026Well 134 is one if the couple I’m missing, natch. We should just imagine our collections as being mystically Voltroned, and then we can both be happy 😆 120
Geoff K @gpkay.bsky.social · 28/08/2026Thanks, Jeremiah I have full runs of New Gods, Forever People and Mister Miracle. Still missing a few Jimmy Olson’s though. 140
Geoff K @gpkay.bsky.social · 21/08/2026There’s just not enough Sienkiewicz in the world, y’know? Or maybe there is and I’m just greedy. Either way. 151
Geoff K @gpkay.bsky.social · 14/08/2026Great little 3 parter! Not half as famous as the storyline that directly precedes it, but it’s a good’n. 130
Geoff K @gpkay.bsky.social · 08/08/2026Yeah. I think the last time I had to play the “wait and see” game was X-Men 130. I mean, that was never get too cheap, it was always a minor key. But I’m glad I held off. I do think you’re right about the “new floor” for this one though. 030
Geoff K @gpkay.bsky.social · 07/08/2026Yeah, I still keep an eye out. Generally I find the best thing to do with these books that get hyped by movies is just to wait. They normally settle back down 🤞 131
Geoff K @gpkay.bsky.social · 07/08/2026Man, I have a copy of 149, and was on the hunt for one of these, looking out for a nice clean copy. This was back when it was maybe a $20 book? And then came the RDJ thing 😂 I snoozed and loozed, y'know? 130
Geoff K @gpkay.bsky.social · 31/07/2026Looking forward to it very much. Will be Top Shelfing the hell out of it when it lands 😂 010
Geoff K @gpkay.bsky.social · 31/07/2026How bloody good is Mike Zeck, btw? Have you ordered that art book Clover Press are putting out? 120
Geoff K @gpkay.bsky.social · 24/07/2026My pleasure, Jeremiah! I think for a long time these sort of books were taken for granted a bit by collectors here in Australia (me included). Just the reprints we grew up with. But you come to realise that they’re kinda unique and special 140
Geoff K @gpkay.bsky.social · 24/07/2026Like a few of the Australian reprint series that were kicking about in the mid seventies, the logo is awful 😂 But I love it. Picked up a run of them for cheap recently, and this issue was the jewel in the crown 180
Geoff K @gpkay.bsky.social · 21/07/2026It’s a Two-Pants Tuesday! My OG, plus a shiny new foil and blank cover. Don’t they look nice? 050
Geoff K @gpkay.bsky.social · 19/07/2026Newly acquired / really neat. To borrow from that kid neighbour in To Kill A Mockingbird, “I’m little but I’m old” 060
Geoff K @gpkay.bsky.social · 17/07/2026Yeah, it’s a cool variation. I wouldnt say that it’s more effective, necessarily? Namor seems more striking against the blue wash of the OG. But I kinda love it anyway 🙂 120
Geoff K @gpkay.bsky.social · 17/07/2026Very neat! I actually had something else lined up for this week, but in light of your Subby post, I feel like it behooves me to show you this weird Aussie reprint from the 70s. Note that it’s actually #3? Included a second shot with a US book for size comparison ✌️🇦🇺 1100
Geoff K @gpkay.bsky.social · 14/07/2026Made a little road trip to Sunbury this morning, grabbed some neat comics from a lady on the Facebook marketplace. 🙏🦇 040
Geoff K @gpkay.bsky.social · 10/07/2026That Batman / Hulk is such a beast of a book. Absolutely bloody love it. Gonna go with some Vaughn Bode this week. Found this in an op shop the other day for a coupla bucks, filed in amongst the kid’s picture books. Figured I’d better buy it, just to keep it from poisoning young minds 🙈 2150
Geoff K @gpkay.bsky.social · 10/07/2026Nice. Finally snagged one of these this week, just waiting on the post to arrive 🙂 110
Geoff K @gpkay.bsky.social · 26/06/2026Such a remarkable piece of work, that one. It felt frighteningly real, reading it as a kid. Haven’t looked at it in a long time, I should really give it a revisit. Anyway, here’s another of the MGNs. Got a squiggle on it and all. 2170
Geoff K @gpkay.bsky.social · 20/06/2026As covers go, it’s pretty gaudy and lazy 😂 But I have such vivid memories of picking this up when it came out, and just poring over it. It got me so hyped for DKR, it was nuts. 020
Geoff K @gpkay.bsky.social · 19/06/2026Happy Friday, folks! My selection this week is this mag, first word I had that a certain F Miller would be doing a Batman book. Tres excite! 1110
