And it’s almost never the trans people, the gay men or lesbians. It’s almost always the older, straight white man. And even more likely if they are publicly vocal about how much they hate people doing exactly what they secretly do.

Russia has been passing intel on US strength and locations to Iran, its long time ally. Under Trump, US dollars are being used (via Russia) to support Iran, a nation the US is at war with. That’s an actual case of treason. I wonder if that matters anymore.

It’s good of Bannon to motivate Democratic voters to turn out.

Too many Libs believe they’re unflushable. We flushed Abbot, Frydenberg and little Timmy Wilson and now they pop back up like turds in a septic tank. Wilson even managed to get back in, covered by the stink of failure. How many times do we need to flush before the sewerage system takes them down?

Remember when they clutched their pearls and retired to their fainting couches over the use of “deplorable”? ‘Cause they don’t.

I was walking up from Southern Cross station yesterday, going to work. Coming toward me was a wizard with a jewelled snake staff and fancy robes. I didn’t know Pax was on. I just thought some legend was taking casual Fridays to the next level. Met all the work casual dress standards too.

Aren’t Congress on a break until after the election, therefore powerless to intervene?

Who is running marketing for Pauline Hanson’s One Nation... apart from pro #Israel figures. It has just been revealed that One Nation’s latest advertisement is an AI slop (almost) word-for-word copy of an ad for Netanyahu. The video for their Victorian launch was more toxic AI slop. #auspol

That definition is so woke. And commie. Lots of commie in there too.

The quote is incomplete. “Three day work weeks for him, and single income enough for his family.” Workers won’t get a thing. Leopards don’t change their spots.

The real drags on welfare and the public purse are corporations demanding a free ride and/or public money. There’s no good reason these companies shouldn’t pay tax.

He’s built a whole government full of people dedicated to hiding the truth and promoting lies, and then he blunders into saying exactly what his motives are. He’s weirdly honest about his motives.

“The President seemed to find some common ground with Iran and its goals, which could lead to more successful negotiations in future.” They both want to destroy the US! It’s just that Iran is more honest, but ineffectual. Trump is less honest but has had amazing success and bringing the US down.

What an amazing way to get cases thrown out of court! Imagine how much criminals will love AI that literally fabricates evidence and statements.

Yes, but he denied having anything to do with Project 2025 so the media all went silent on it, like the compliant stenographers they are. They didn’t want to influence the election by reporting honestly. That wouldn’t make money for their corporate masters.

Ranch dressing is the wrong condiment. For potato cakes, it’s tomato sauce or nothing. We don’t use ranch dressing in Australia.

It’s a good way to make sure an article is skipped by entire states full of people. I wonder where the author is based. I suspect “inside a data centre.”

It’s easier to be a stenographer and apologist for the powerful, than to present the truth fearlessly. No-one will remember these weak people, or care about them. They’re just mouthpieces for the powerful, with no voices of their own.

There’s more truth in one of Iran’s LEGO videos about Trump than in the entire US regime. How can Iran - a murderous dictatorship responsible for so many acts of terrorism and so many deaths of its own people - seem like the more trustworthy party in this? They’re literally monsters, but more honest

FACT CHECK: Clinton Body Bags
Decades-old political rumor claims Bill Clinton quietly did away with several dozen people who possessed incriminating evidence about him.

I remember a lot of Republican stories about the Clintons but no actual facts. Just the lies they spread to influence the more gullible of the voting public. Looks like you fell for the stories too, hook, line and sinker.

Those of us in the civilised world don’t care what some USian thinks. We see what you do, we see who you follow and we know who you are. A broken people in hostage to the Epstein Class, who hold all the money and power. Your president is a moron who uses the US to destabilise the world. Deal with it

Gary Patterson @gp70.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
Everyone same wants the US to emerge from this intact but we also know that without serious reform and enforcement, the US is always one election away from the next Trump. There’s no future in having an ally like that. Canada is wise to forge friendships elsewhere. Trump is a symptom, not a cause.
000
Gary Patterson @gp70.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
You’ve left out the non-voters. Why are you distorting the data? The reality is that every potential voter has a choice to make, and as you said earlier, 1/3 didn’t care enough to vote. 2/3 of US voters either supported Trump *or* didn’t care enough to vote either way. The generalisation stands.
120
Gary Patterson @gp70.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
Also, until you fix your broken voting laws, you’ll never get a winner with more than about 33% of the vote. Your dinky little pic indicates that’s not a mandate, and that applies just as much to Democratic presidents as Republican. Maybe don’t stress that point, it’s not helping you.
000
Gary Patterson @gp70.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
You didn’t read what I wrote. 1/3 voted for him and 1/3 didn’t care enough to vote, so 2/3 of US voters either voted for him or didn’t care enough to vote. The generalisation is fair, given that 2/3 of your damned nation wanted this or didn’t care. Only 1/3 of USians tried for something else.

Gary Patterson @gp70.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
Oh, I don’t know about that. Rain falls for a kilometre or two before hitting the ground.
000
Gary Patterson @gp70.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
It is a generalisation but it’s a pretty safe one usually. 2/3 of the US electorate either fully wanted Trump and everything he does, or were okay and didn’t care enough to vote. Here there are more non-Republican voters and so the generalisation doesn’t work here, or on anyone educated.

There are no ethical questions. It’s a settled matter of basic corruption. News organisations have to call a spade a spade and not give it a veneer of legitimacy like this. That’s part of the reason he got into power in the first place - sanewashing his ludicrous ramblings. Makes the media look suss

No, but it would if you peg him for hours and get a group of women to peg him all night. Or find some gay men with little taste to bugger him senseless. It’s the same loophole in the same laws.

All that money funnelled up into the pockets of the already wealthy, who drain the economy and move it offshore. Or they buy assets and force the people to rent where they would have owned. Their greed can never be satisfied and too many governments have fed them instead of their citizens.

So you can’t actually back up your claim. You failed to show the source of your claim, and just linked (incorrectly) a government department. Nice try but no-one is convinced.

It should be a millstone around their necks for the rest of their lives. They supported all of this, they wanted it to fulfil their deranged version of religion. Even evangelicals, who hate to actually read the Bible (don’t believe in Jesus) know you can’t simply wash your hands from responsibility

There have been many documents cases in the US of evidence coming to light after sentencing, resulting in someone being freed as innocent Execution immediately after sentencing would kill innocent people, making the situation even worse State-sanctioned murder is barbaric. Better to drop it entirely
