Well I guess I messed around with the hardware a little too much, so time to reinstall Win98.

Well that was a more stressful Sunday than it needed to be! Managed to drop my commodore monitor. Crack the PCB around the flyback. And then patch it up again to work. How long will it work, who knows!

Spent the week in Leeds for work, but because we are game devs, we had to hit the arcade club. Which was very good.

Off on a business trip to the far away lands of Leeds this week. So had to make sure the nails looked good 😁 Managed to get a nice effect by layering 2 polishes.

Rather than take the bank holiday off I took a long weekend last week. Which gave me a chance to update the nails! A nice sparkly dark blue. First Esse branded polish.

I'm not even sure why a parking ticket machine needs a partition tool, but they need to update it!

Start of a new week so something to brighten the day, some very yellow nails. The color is "Lemonade". Not quite as sparkly as I was led to believe. #nails

This might be the cheapest rug/mat I've ever gotten (AliExpress so you can guess the quality). But it ties the room together (man). And stops the cables being a trip hazard 😁

Got some new colours in, as there is no such a thing as too much nail polish... And going with baked bronze. Which I think I quite like.

GouldFish On Games @gouldfishongames.com · 09/02/2026

Does this mean I've hit the jackpot?

Whoops missed posting the last polish, here are the new nails. Slightly more subtle than normal, this is mermaid fin.

Walking through the freezing fog this morning, when Old Gods of Asgard comes on the playlist. It started feeling like a part of Alan Wake!

Very much called floppy disks, this is from the manual of monkey Island that both mentions 3 5" disks and floppy disks when talking about the Amiga.

Just got a whole bunch of new tshirts printed up and not sure if I wasn't paying attention but it wasn't the direct printing I was expecting, these are more like transfers. But they do look quite good!

I finally did a nail combo that I actually like! A (very) dark metallic blue base with a sparkly holographic purple on top!

Still not quite used to getting up this early and getting the bus into town. But did get around to updating the nails. Soak at sunset! Not a colour I'd normally go for, but wanted a bit of a change. Or I'm sleep deprived.

My second deskmat has turned up, and this one is headed for the office. Had a lot of fun laying this one out.

GouldFish On Games @gouldfishongames.com · 05/12/2025

Got a custom deskmat printed (120cm x 50cm) and I'm happy with how it turned out. It should make for a great surface for when I show the boxes and stuff on the channel.

It's been a busy month moving 400 odd miles, but more or less ready to start my next adventure next week. And any town that has a lemmings statue can't be all that bad.

Spent the day at the @computinghistory.org.uk at the retro gaming event exhibiting my A500+ And had a great day. I will be there tomorrow, and it's not yet sold out, so if you are in the area come along! You didn't even have to see me!

It managed to arrive on just the wrong day, but a week later it's finally in my hands. Settlers 2 for the Amiga. Even if the only machine it will run on is my A4000 and it can still struggle!
