I revisited my Futurama X-Men Mashup! What’s new? 100 mashups, niche costumes (Krakoa!), loads of energy, and a nice closing of a chapter I opened long ago. Humans of planet Earth. While you slept, the world changed. Now everything tastes purple. #futurama #krakoa #xmen

A week of monsters! Follow me at @carlbroaddus on Instagram for sort of more art.

A portrait mode oriented, illustrator, drawing of monsters: a female vampire, werewolf, mummy, Frankenstein, and witch. All are on a purple background with stylish lettering that reads, “monsters”.

Working on Warlock now…then just 2 (3?) more New Mutants to go! Tempted to one day add the Hellions, Magneto, and Emma but these projects can’t ALL go on forever. Enjoy! #newmutants #xmen #xterminators

A poster in portrait format arranging 12 of the New Mutants in individual black rectangles. There are three rows: 1st row is Magma, Cannonball, Sunspot, and Wolfsbane. 2nd row is Boom Boom, Rusty Collins, Skids, and Rictor. 3rd row is Cypher, Magik, Karma, and Mirage.

Starting a New Mutants poster. Maybe. #newmutants #xmen #magma

An Illustrator drawing of Magma of the original New Mutants, with her flame power activated. She’s depicted with the red striping from her original appearances, and yellow and white over her skin, with flaming hair and flames emerging off her limbs. She’s alone on a dark maroon background.

Done for now! Not sure how this may evolve, or who I may add down the line (maybe Frenzy, Hope, Jubilee, Mystique?), but I think I’m stepping away from it for a bit. Enjoy! #xmen #xwomen #krakoa #marvel

The X-Men symbol used from the Krakoan era (as designed by Tom Muller) sits in the middle, surrounded by 12 X-women: clockwise from top, they are Jean Grey, Storm, Magik, Dazzler, Captain Britain, Psylocke, Emma Frost, Kitty Pryde, Dani Moonstar, Rachel Grey, Polaris, and Rogue. They are drawn upright with energy lines going vertically from them away from the circle’s center to create a geometric effect on the overall poster.

WIP — The core women of X, with a few yet to come. I’m trying to merge my love of art with design a bit and try something different. Let’s see where it goes! #xmen #xwomen #krakoa

Sharing some drag icons I've made for some (maybe half?) of the US competitors of Drag Race wearing looks they are either well known for or that are personal faves of mine. More queens to come! #dragrace #rupaul #rpdr

My 500 Mutant Icon Project ended with Krakoa. THEN the X-creators went and made some visually striking and fun new mutants and — yea — I guess it's back in some form? #xmen #exceptionalxmen #uncannyxmen #xfactor

Hey all! I'm Carl, an artist & designer who loves to make fanart. I figure I'll start my Bluesky journey by resharing some of my personal favorite "arts" I've made over the years. Here's one that always makes me smile — some of the best #hellfiregala outfits drawn in my X-icon style. #xmen #marvel
