In a first act that feels like a banker co-wrote this movie at least 8 or 9 years ago, a nice old lady is scammed into elder abuse through a remote desktop software run by cishet bros in Dan Flashes shirts working in dark neon-lit mancaves run by the middle management version of Jordan Belfort lookalikes down to the handheld wireless microphone, adding a runway between computer desks and a giant screen behind them displaying fractal graphics that no one looks at. Their goal is to empty the bank accounts of old people who freak out when they see a pop-up saying their hard drive is compromised and need to call a phone number to get it fixed. Jason Statham -- um, Adam Clay decides to take his revenge out on this organization to the fullest when the lady who gave him a barn to live in and make honey from his beekeeping hobby (business? He hardly seems to sell anything, and never speaks about this but this movie isn't about the drama) commits suicide as a result of targeted elder abuse. The movie gets a little less interesting from here while action tropes take over in a pastiche approach of every little thing we would expect. Some JOHN WICK shit pops up and you'd think they'd wanna just lean into that because it sells well, but it's summarily dropped as the organization who puts the hunt on for Jason Adam Statham Clay decides to quit after one incident. Josh Hutcherson is radiant in this as a stunt tech bro version of Hunter Biden but cooler as he literally skateboards into this movie as his character first appears and orders an oat milk flat white, sushi and listens to a Tibetan singing bowl"$
