Can anyone see if they can track down a datasheet for this goofy-ass diode? I'm running into some trouble.

A diode that looks like a mosfet, screwed onto a metal head sync. The diode has markings of "12", "D64M", a diode symbol, and "004". The center pin appears to have been cut.

[The Amazing Digital Circus, Spoilers, Suicide, Ego Death] A few of my thoughts, interpretations, and general headcanons about Abstraction in the context of The Amazing Digital Circus. Marked as Sensitive to ensure you have to click through to see them.

But, along those lines, I think I'm going with my interpretation being:
> Recovery from abstraction is *maybe* possible. But, if it is, it is a long and difficult process, and I'm not sure the current residents of the Circus are entirely equipped to assist with it.
> Abstraction is a process where someone's extreme isolation and lack of will to continue existing result in a sort of ego death. The process involves no longer being able to or seek out new experiences and centers on exclusively turning inward and running through memories, usually negative ones, over and over and over again.
> At least some part of the person is irreversibly lost while in this state.
> Any sort of recovery will involve getting the afflicted person to a point where they not only have regained the will to continue or exist again, but will require them resolving or processing the negative emotions present which are keeping them trapped inside.
> Anyone who ventures into an abstracted person's "universe", is very likely, if not guaranteed to encounter corruption of their own data, and may possibly be harmed by this process.
> Both should honestly be viewed or equated to something like a traumatic brain injury causing mental degradation.
> The person you get back out of an Abstracted person is very likely not going to be entirely the person who abstracted, for multiple reasons.
