It's on the power supply board for an old laptop I'm working on: a ZEOS Notebook 386. 35-ish year old thing. The power brick feeds it 15v, and this board converts it to all the other voltages. This one turns on for a split second, and then the power light goes out.

Can anyone see if they can track down a datasheet for this goofy-ass diode? I'm running into some trouble.

A diode that looks like a mosfet, screwed onto a metal head sync. The diode has markings of "12", "D64M", a diode symbol, and "004". The center pin appears to have been cut.

A StorageTek 4400 Automatic Cassette System, aka, a 8 foot tall, 11 foot wide, circular tape library from the 90's

An IBM PS/2, Model 25. It's the one with the computer in the bottom of the monitor, with a single floppy drive.

The next to last version of ASIMO the robot, probably from the year 2000, walking like he's got somewhere to go

For anyone curious: I had to *make* a power adapter, because this is the power pin for the thing: (Honestly, the adapter is also a Nickel Cadmium fast charger, and can only fast-charge the battery if 1) the laptop itself is off and 2) it's actually Nickel Cadmium, and not Nickel Metal-Hydride.

A few of my thoughts, interpretations, and general headcanons about Abstraction in the context of The Amazing Digital Circus. Marked as NSFW and Graphic to ensure you have to click through to see them.

But, along those lines, I think I'm going with my interpretation being:
> Recovery from abstraction is *maybe* possible. But, if it is, it is a long and difficult process, and I'm not sure the current residents of the Circus are entirely equipped to assist with it.
