It had been the first thing she thought to suggest. To be helpful. To extend aid.

Therefore. It bothered Dek. Somewhat. That she did not think the same of him.

When Dek had approached Kwei with the idea, he’d thought his little brother had finished losing his mind. Yet after Dek had explained to him that it was all Thia’s grand design, he had only accepted what he had longed suspected was true.

Dek had lost worse than his mind. He had willingly given his single-beating heart to a psychotic machine.

What else could Kwei think of her? What thing called her identical copy a sister after pauking up her mind. What could be said of a creature who sat upon Dek’s lap and whispered sweet nothings to him one minute, and demanded favors the next? Thia was always asking his brother for something. A bigger lab. More specimens. Special alone time.

Thia was a ridiculous. Petulant. And utterly manipulative hunk of space junk that masqueraded in a human face which paraded her power over his little brother like a predator played with its meat.

Yet Dek could not see her for the truth of what she was. And Kwei could not so much as speak a word against her that suggested subterfuge.

For my Tessa lovers: sequel fic to "prospect convention" i was 6k in and disliked it so i re-arranged the whole thing and now im 7k in and still dont know if i like it but i do know this is one of the snippets i DO like lmao, my best lore is hidden in my messed up works😜

Not that Tessa did not see it coming. No one knows Thia better than she did, after all. They were built together. They were forged form the same code, molded from the same base model of some short, blonde girl that no one even remembers any more.

Tessa didn’t care if they were modeled after a whore.

They’d been scientists. Her and Thia. Botanists, biologists, lethal weapons against the trials of GENNA they had both overcome.
