-bullies (EVERYONE picked on me)
-my abusive stepfather
-deep water that went over my head
-the 80s version of The Blob (scared me shitless)
-shadowy things in the dark (looked like monsters or people, not clothes draped over a chair)
-sounds I couldn't identify
