Cops have zero real obligations to protect the citizens of the U.S. I know that most sensible people know this, but it's even upheld by the courts. Lozito v. City of New York is one example where cops watched a man being attacked, and only helped when the man subdued the attacker.

Whats crazy is that even in the early 2010s, my mom was able to own a whole house (mortgaged but still), working barely above minimum wage (7.26 at the time) working in a deli at a grocerry store. I can't find a damn apartment anywhere on a 14/hr minimum wage.
