my relationship with my other endocrinologist for the diabetes is exactly the same, so I think this is just how medicine works now. doctors are too busy to do the work and outsource to the patients at least when the patients are savvy and advocate for themselves.

I go through a specific online group that caters to us and basically gets me labs and a proxy NPI (National Provider Identifier). That is kind of how I like my healthcare though 🤷‍♀️ I assume the doc would stop me if I asked for something insane, but I haven't tested that.

at least the Granby one didn't kill anyone (other than the man himself), but the earlier Alma incident in 98 did. I lived there for a while, people don't speak of it as a glorious event, mental illness and hypoxia mostly. circular saws are much quicker and cleaner than dozers for aluminum poles
