It's either a detransition fetish or it's accumulated brainrot resulting in ignorant misuse of words.

But "normies" who look at someone who says "I'm a trans woman! I'm a femboy! :>" will take it to mean those are the same thing, or that it's okay! And that's really awful. I feel for trans creators who *have* to debase themselves as "femboys" to get normies' attention, but it still sucks.

My gut feeling is strictly on the matter of trans women, for whom it is incredibly offensive to use a boy or man label even jokingly, and the harm trans women who use femboy liberally do by normalizing the behavior. I *do* understand the algorithmic struggle and don't blame it in those cases though.

You can be trans feminine while being genderfluid or nonbinary! In those cases you do present as trans feminine, but you aren't a trans woman, because you don't call yourself a woman, and you aren't fussed about people identifying you as a woman, which means you can call yourself a boy if you like!

It's judgmental because my gut feeling is that is someone calls me a femboy or a boytoy they are absolutely harming me, and, therefore, people who normalize this behavior are normalizing harming me. But I'm checking the pulse because maybe I'm out of touch.

Well this is why I said they baffle and confuse me more than anything else. I'm not pointing fingers but I am asking, "Why do you, a woman, misgender yourself and possibly your sisters like this". I feel out of touch and like I missed a memo if this became okay!

Though in principle I agree with you that you can label yourself whatever you want, but the point of being a trans woman is to be a woman! So you shouldn't undermine that point by calling yourself a boy, IMO!

One of the things I've had to learn as a trans woman is that if you're okay with people using harmful language against you (perhaps because you don't respect yourself, or think you deserve it) then you splash damage other trans women around you by signaling you're fine with the harmful language.

trans women who still refer to themselves as 'femboys' or 'boytoys' or any alternate spelling baffle me because it's like, you're either fetishizing detransition or you're loudly broadcasting you're okay being seen as a boy still, which expands into what is likely their view of other trans women too

Yeah most people I see are saying just use a very old version and never update. I've had the same issue with CSP and I've heard there's ways to fix it but I never managed it.

It is also really funny to watch him meltdown trying to argue and v insult everyone saying AI coding is bad. That's healthy right?

"He's only using the AI slop on an experimental branch!" OK but that still means he's willing to use it at all.
