“Ilya, please stand back,” the authoritative voice said. And the dark blur that had been looming over Shane disappeared.
“We’re not alone,” Shane slurred. “Ilya. They can see us.”

Shane was so completely in love with him. He would hit his head all over again just to be alone in that quiet hospital room with those careful fingers and those concerned eyes.

feels like fanon shane has largely gone in the “he doesn’t drink much” direction, which makes sense. i think the way fanon had taken implications like shane’s autism/disordered eating and foreground them is interesting. but that meant hr starting out with this was surprising #roryHR

He went to the stainless-steel fridge and too out one of the five bottles of beer—the only thing in the pristine refrigerator. He twisted the cap off and sat himself on the black leather sofa in the living area.
He sat in silence and tried to ignore the way his stomach churned on nights like this one. He drank his beer quickly, hoping the alcohol would help at least numb the disappointment he felt in himself. The disgust at his own weakness. He needed to dull it because he knew he sure wouldn’t be doing anything to fix this mess. He’d been trying for over six years.

There was something in Rozanov’s eyes that caught Scott’s attention. He hadn’t seen that look on his face before. Was it gratitude, maybe?
“I hope so,” Scott said.

And Scott didn’t have much experience at clubs, but the way Rozanov moved agaibst the men he danced with seemed a lot more deliberate and practiced than someone who was just trying to get into the spirit of the place.
