Looking for a gift that stands out? Gifting handmade pottery is not only fabulous, but thoughtful. It tells your loved one that you really know them. A handmade mug shows them that you know how much they love hot beverages and how much they love to look awesome drinking them.

Oh! I get it, now! Just because something is legal doesn't make it correct, but lets just end this here. There's no point in discussing anything if we don't agree on basic facts.

Katie Shay | Gooslings @gooslings.bsky.social · 21/04/2025

Exactly. trans women are not protected as women. This is a continuation of a lack of rights.

Katie Shay | Gooslings @gooslings.bsky.social · 21/04/2025

"The question at stake was whether “sex” means someone’s biological sex, or their “certificated sex”; in other words, should those who are male but who have a gender recognition certificate (GRC) be treated as a woman under equalities law? The answer that the supreme court produced is no" get it?

Katie Shay | Gooslings @gooslings.bsky.social · 21/04/2025

That's a fair point. I misspoke. What they did was rule on the interpretation. They could have granted trans people the same rights as cis people, however, they ruled against it. Putting into practice that those people would not be treated as they are.

The ruling that the original post is about...

If you're talking about England, that new law proves otherwise. However, I doubt "we" live in the same country.

Katie Shay | Gooslings @gooslings.bsky.social · 20/04/2025

100%. I'm lucky enough to not need to have everything figured out and lucrative right away.

You don't compromise on human rights. You either have them or you don't. There is no middle ground.

I feel you so hard. I had to get off Etsy for my mental health. I suck at it anyway. Etsy is terrible, but getting people to my website to make a purchase will take a long time and suck my energy as well.

Something completely different, my partner and I just started watching the great pottery throw down (I'm a ceramicist and absolutely love this shit) and you're always so lovely and helpful. ❤️

This is no longer true. The current government there just passed a law that you can only get Italian citizenship through parents or grandparents.

The flier, at least, looks amazing!! Good luck!!

Katie Shay | Gooslings @gooslings.bsky.social · 08/03/2025

Exactly! It's so much fun. All of my functional pieces are either white or black swirled with colors or all rainbow colors swirled together. I love it so much!

Katie Shay | Gooslings @gooslings.bsky.social · 08/03/2025

Right?! I'm using a white clay with basically zero grog. I live in Germany so I'm using different colored Farbekörper. The green is a turquoise mixed with yellow, the purple is the turquoise mixed with raspberry, I think, and then raspberry.

Katie Shay | Gooslings @gooslings.bsky.social · 07/03/2025

True fact. Also, coffee tastes much better in a handmade cup/mug.

Katie Shay | Gooslings @gooslings.bsky.social · 06/03/2025

I have been throwing with different colors of clay smashed together for a while now, & I'm obsessed. I never know how the colors are going to look until after I glaze fire them, which makes opening the kiln extra exciting. 🤩 #pottery #ceramics #workinprogress #process #throwing #blackclay

Right?! I ripped one half way through a print session on layer 2 of a 4 layer print. 🤦🏻‍♀️

000

Katie Shay | Gooslings @gooslings.bsky.social · 05/03/2025

I didn't realize that it had ripped until I was about to use it, so I figured 🤷🏻‍♀️. So I taped it up. I got a few prints, but the tension isn't there. #shithappens #screenprinting #artproblems #oops
