I'm not sure how to talk about the xenophobic attacks in South Africa and the ensuing humanitarian crisis. I feel a sense of shame and despair that I can't put into words. But I have been so relieved to watch the response from Gift of the Givers, who are on the ground helping — as they always are.

I feel like we just didn’t get the memo about a change in the main parties?

Election results for Barnet Council. Labour loses to NOC (no overall control). The vote is split evenly between Labour and Conservatives, with one lonely Green seat. Although Conservatives gained 9 seats and Labour lost 12, this looks like a chart of the political landscape from three years ago.

I mean at least there are 0 reform seats.

Newspaper article: “Death in Ten Minutes.” Suffragist attempt to blow up an old lighthouse. An attempt was made on Friday night, presumably by Suffragists, to blow up Smeaton Tower, on Plymouth Hoe. While passing the tower about eight o’clock on Saturday morning a man named William Chubb found in a doorway a circular tin canister, six inches long, containing explosive matter. In the cover was a wick saturated with oil. It had evidently been lighted, but had been blown out by the wind. Painted in crude letters on the tin were the words: “Votes for women. Death in ten minutes.” The canister was handed over to the police, who are endeavouring to trace the culprits. Smeaton Tower is the old lighthouse which for one hundred and fifty years stood on the Eddystone reef, but was taken down and erected on Plymouth Hoe, when the present Eddystone lighthouse was built, about thirty years ago.

I ran 8 straight hours of D&D and it was incredible but I am also tired to the point of non-verbal. A beautiful, explosive mass battle, which ended with half-victory, but with a monstrous army breaching the walls into a defenseless city. Definitely my biggest ever terrain project.
