been drawing on and off in a sketchbook this year, trying to find my spark again. here's a page from today as i waited for an important phone call and was very cool and relaxed about it

A vibrant sketch page in coloured pencil: seventeen hastily scrawled drawings of an anthropomorphic beetle-like insect expressing the various stages of panic, stress, and resignation. The drawings overlap each other messily, making the page very busy. One of the drawings shows the character scrawling in a sketchbook to de-stress.

Praying mantis backpack is all done for his owner! All his limbs are posable as well as his antennae. To access the bag compartment you lift up his wing covers to reveal the 9" zipper. His wing cover is held closed with hidden rare earth magnets!

Insectember day 3: Saica sp Common name: Assassin bug The role of assassin is its birthright🤺 🎨 #insectember2025 #anthro #bugart

An illustration of an anthropomorphized assassin bug crouching holding two swords, looking at the viewer over its shoulder. It's bright red and black body lanky and segmented, mostly shiny with some fine, short hairs. Its head is small and lumpy with long antenna and a tube-like mouthpart. The back of its thorax has short spines on the edges and its wings sprout from under it. Its wings are mostly black and folded neatly one over the other ontop of its flat abdomen. It has two sets of arms and long legs, all of them mostly black with red faded around the joints. In the assassin bug's top set of hands it holds two swords made of long thorns, it props one sword over its shoulder and holds the other down behind its leg.

Catch a falling star.

A giant, semi-translucent figure swathed in white stands above a hilly forest at night. Their face is hidden by wavy red hair and a giant glowing eye hovers behind their head like a halo. Their hands are clawed and an iridescent white color, and they hold them stretched out and gently cupped beneath another glowing sigil, this one shaped like a swirl.

not very thematic for spring, but here's an old autumn doodle from back in 2020 while i work on my website. CSS is a hoot!!! especially when you go back and realise all the stuff you wrote earlier is spaghetti #furry

An anthropomorphic blue insect gazes wistfully into an orange sky as brown, gold, and red autumn leaves fall around them. Their arms are tucked into their blue hoodie; an awkward lump under the fabric suggests a second pair of arms folded in front of their body. The art style is sketchy and loose, but brightly coloured.

commission of a very cool wasp belonging to @vespulix.bsky.social !!! can you tell i got excited about drawing something food based #furry #bugsona

A drawing of an anthropomorphic blue cuckoo wasp with soft reddish on their under-body, black eyes and mandibles, and dark-to-black tips on their digitigrade legs. They are standing up with their wings neatly folded behind them. Their upper pair of arms are occupied shaking a frying pan to fry some chopped vegetables and shaking a spice shaker into the pan. Their second, lower pair of arms cradle a mixing bowl to their front while stirring with a wooden spoon. Their expression seems pleased and happy. The background is a soft spring green with a faint yellow cooking flame behind the character; there is a scattering of various cooking ingredients following the contours of the flame.

"I can see the dreams of this old Kingdom are starting to cling to you." do you ever think about how weird it must be that only the Knight and the Seer can see the "blade" of this thing. to everyone else you're waving around a bubble wand with no juice in it #hollowknight

A chalky drawing of the old Moth Seer from Hollow Knight. She is sitting in her usual pillow-pile hideaway, lit by lumafly lanterns. Two frail arms peek out from between her cloak-like wings; one hand holds the ornate hilt of the Dream Nail while the other is held beneath the white glowing blade, showing she's one of the few who can see it. Dream Motes clutter around the light of the blade.

painting/rendering practice i've been working on on-and-off between commissions. @thethrillof 's Monzun - tried to work in rain/cloud motifs but also new growth ⛈️🌱

A youngish-looking god of storms stands in a vague field, slightly hunched, with their hands curled into a fidgety shape by rheir chest and bent into literal claws; their arms are unnaturally coloured and patterned up to their short sleeves with pastel rainbow leopard patches. They have dark skin and wavy, flowing shoulder-length cherry-red hair. Their outfit is a contrasting cloudy white, including several layers of floaty white translucent cloaks with edges adorned with blue gems shaped like raindrops. A lapis lazuli brooch sits on their shirt by their neck, shaped like an open eye, matching the glowing god-symbol floating behind their head a little like a halo. By their sandalled feet, new saplings sprout from the ground. Strange clouds fill the air and twist around them, one black with lightning flashes and one white with tiny drops of water suspended in the air. They are peering out from behind a long lock of their red hair, smiling faintly, and their visible eye is bright red with a golden pupil.

blorbing the game since 2006. gengar is my silly rabbit

Doodles of characters from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue/Red Rescue Team. Text limit means I'm unable to describe all drawings but descriptions of the most interesting ones are as follows, images addressed left-to-right... ish.
1. Text reads "me and the boys / when we lie for no reason" in meme format, with Team Meanies crouching in cool selfie poses together.
2. Torchic protagonist wearing some Goggle Specs, modified to be on an actual goggle strap since it doesn't have ears to hold up a glasses frame. It is merrily walking along. In the next drawing, Torchic has slammed comedically into a wall with its face scrunched up like a Tom & Jerry style car crash. Pikachu sidekick is watching disappointedly in the distance.
3. Medicham and Ekans playing cards. Medicham says "got any Cinderaces?" and Ekans says "go fish".
4. Gengar & Medicham are walking home from a fight looking bruised and battered, clearly having lost. Medicham holds onto Gengar's ear for support. Left behind them is Ekans lying totally dead on the floor with X eyes, a snake angel (snangel) floating up from its body.
5. Medicham wearing Ekans as a fashionable neck-scarf. Text by Medicham reads "free scarf" and text by a very smug Ekans reads "free ride".
6. Medicham and Ekans back-to-back in cool poses.
7. Gengar is wearing a Mobile Scarf on its arm, which it is holding up to show off, and says "like training wheels".
8. Gengar in a wide battle stance, claws curled into a fist with ghostly energy rising threateningly from it. Gengar's face is serious. Behind it, a clueless Torchic and Pikachu watch.
9. Tiny Torchic with an onion for a head, looking remarkably similar to how its head always looks. text reads "in my humble onion".
10. Pikachu hugging and lifting and snuggling Torchic in a joyful reunion.
11. A series of doodles showing Gengar sleeping curled up around Torchic, waking up and realising this, and lying back down totally still looking embarrassed.

ref commission for beegirlbooty @ tumblr! adore how much fluff i got to draw for this one 🐝

A fursona reference of a bumblebee character. She has one pair of arms on hips, one pair making a victory flex, and shiny purple wings flared out behind. Her body is fuzzy and dark-brown with yellow bee stripes, and a large fluffy yellow ruff around the neck adorned with a blue ribbon with a purple carnation in the middle, and three small purple flowers. She wears two belts - one around her waist, one around her upper leg - to hold small pouches marked with flowers and a corked bottle of something that looks like honey. Her round abdomen is visibly fluffy and in the middle of its wide yellow stripe is a flower mark with six petals.

Persim the Floran for @tabificrevendicate.bsky.social back when i was deep diving into Starbound like nobody's business [2022]

A happy-looking Starbound Floran is floating in midair, in a dynamic pose holding a staff tipped with a glowing white orb that crackles with electricity. Their head is adorned with large leaves and an orange flower, and they have two pairs of red, blood-like eyes, one set smaller than the other. They wear a sleeveless, turtlenecked, white shirt with a trailing cape down to their knees, a cream coloured belt, and brown trousers and dress shoes. In their other hand is a Monster Ball, and beside them floats a Poison Sporgus - a round green fungus creature with red dot eyes and two large red mushrooms growing out of its round body. The background of the image is cheerful pink, and directly behind the characters is a perfect white square tilted 45 degrees that has criss-cross lines through it like a cage; this square is also crackling with energy similar to the Floran's staff, and is implied to be the gravity-defying trick that suspends the two in the space.

strange folks in Peanut Swamp [2022]

A coloured drawing of a Gengar lying flat on its back on a huge lilypad, taking a nap. A Mudkip sleeps on its belly, and the Gengar's hand rests lightly over the Mudkip's back to keep it from slipping off. In the crook of the Gengar's other arm, an unusually-coloured black and pink Hisuian Zorua is snuggled in to sleep. Neatly tucked in beside the Zorua is a Ledyba. The Gengar appears to be drooling slightly in its sleep.

old furry ref for Marvinn, a science guy i never did anything with. i've apparently always had a deep affinity for slapping eyewear on all my characters [2019]

A very simple safe-for-work reference sheet of an anthropomorphic cat. He has orange fur and sparse white tiger-stripe markings. His tail has a red strip of fabric tied neatly around it and a soft-looking white tassel of fur sticks out of the end, much like the poofy cloud of hair between his ears. His eyes are green. The first drawing shows him without clothes to show his fur patterning, and the second drawing shows him wearing a leather eyepatch with a round red lens fitted into it, a pair of loose white trousers, and foot-paw bindings and a black dress-like garment that look like they're made out of a similar heavy material to a welder's apron.

taz graduation fitzroy boycloaks moment

Fitzroy from The Adventure Zone: Graduation is depicted with a kind of fluffy mullet hairdo situation, pointed ears, several rings on his fingers, and large, round glasses. He's shown from the back, peeking over his shoulder with a scandalised expression to see he has grown in height and his fancy cloak no longer fits properly. A crab familiar is perched on his shoulder.

Fitzroy looks mortified as he clutches his too-short cloak to his chest. "Oh god..." he says. "My Boycloaks(TM) photoshoot..."

my terrible wizard warforged, Arc. his special talent is getting knocked out every single combat and occasionally being correct about which way is north

A brassy-looking robot with an endoskeleton-like steampunk design. Pieces of wood have been crafted into basic armour pieces, but barely consist of much more than kneepads, gauntlets, one pauldron, and a chest covering. There is a window-shaped hole in the chest part that shows a floating magenta crystal about the size of a fist, with threads of silver tangled around it like a messy metal knot. Its face has a large, blunt-toothed jaw and pink glassy eyes, and one eye is covered by a monocle that appears to have multiple attachments. The robot's head has a glass part on top to reveal cogs and machinery where a brain would be. It is standing neutrally and raising one arm to wave at the viewer.

The brassy, clunky-looking robot is steepling its fingers together in front of its face. Its expression is unable to change, yet somehow it seems to have a distant, pensive stare. Text above the robot's head reads in typical greentext style with an angle bracket pointing to the words "when your only function is knowing shit and your party doesn't listen"
