My biggest issue with Gears at the moment is how uninteresting the main squad are. Dom has always been a bit boring but the 2 new ones even more so. I've only just started Act 3 so maybe they'll get some better scenes but I don't particularly care for either of them at the moment

Gears E-Day is absolutely gorgeous and a ton of fun but I'm so sick of UE5 just running like shit it's completely unacceptable for it to still be this bad. It's not even constantly shit, 80% of the time it runs great then 20% just unplayable. I'm gonna go play it on Xbox instead

It took some messing about but I finally got Witcher performance to a place I'm happy with. I keep going back and forth on Path Tracing, half the time the performance is the same as normal RT then other times it drops to 30-40fps. PM needs work, the DoF is unusable and more poses/expressions

Idk if this is a hot take but I can't stand this trend in indie games where 1 game takes off and then 100 more popup. It feels so lazy and like such a cash grab, I don't wanna see more "simulator" games I don't wanna see more tidy up these 1 million things games etc And how many have the Ai tag 🥴

Too many mods are using Ai thumbnails. It's an instant skip for me. If you can't be bothered to show what your mod is in a simple thumbnail I'm not gonna bother looking at it

It's such a night and day difference going from more classic AC controls to modern controls, the new ones feel so bad and I can't for the life of my understand why Ubisoft are still deadest on this control scheme. It feels so much less responsive and clunky

I finally "beat" Valhalla. I've not done all the Order stuff, and I just don't want to, but I did all the arcs at least. This game does not respect your time in anyway, and I refuse to give it anymore. There's some good stuff in there, but not good enough to sit through all of that.

Finally saw The Odyssey, it's not too bad. I'm glad we have people like Nolan and Villeneuve who can make big films that make a lot of money and aren't super hero slop. 3 hours is too long tho and my head hurts too much now

Wuchang fallen feathers is pretty good but man these games need quest logs. I don't need way points and quest objectives but just something in game to keep track of side quests cause having to Google and follow a guide is infinitely worse then reading something in game.

You're gonna see so many people just leave everything at default posting character faces, cause like Nvidia showed, outside of that it's not a huge noticeable improvement. Hair is the one thing it can improve quite a bit and some better AO but other wise meh

I've been messing with modded DLSS 5 all morning and it's just ok? Outside of the whole face situation, environmental lighting is not noticeably better or worse when you're actually just running around not doing comparisons. It's just kind of different?

It's been raining, it's cloudy and its getting dark earlier. We're so back 😌 And I decided to give Valhalla one last attempt, it's the only mainline AC I've still yet to finish and it pains me. There's lots to love about this game, and lots to not love.

I've also somehow managed to finished 31 games so far this year. I had real trouble getting into anything after finishing Ragnarok, that game took a lot of energy lol but I've gotten back into the flow again recently

For some reason I went back and played Control after finishing Alan Wake 2. This time I actually managed to finish it and it's just Ok? Gameplay wise it's more fun than AW2 ever was but still lacking, the lore is interesting but I don't want to keep reading notes and listening to audio logs 🫠

Picked up Alan Wake 2 again randomly after putting it down earlier this year. That game has terrific vibes and atmosphere but I still find the gameplay pretty boring. The story and lore of it all is interesting but it's just not my kind of story telling so I'm not super locked in with it either
