Michaela Hall was murdered by her abusive partner. If he had been correctly assessed by the probation service as 'high-risk', she may well still be alive. We're helping her father and son get justice 👇 goodlawproject.org/crowdfunder/help…

The NHS wants their logo out of our spoof video, but we’re not going to be silenced. We won’t stop criticising their contract with Palantir. After all, it’s not our fault they went into business with a sinister company hungry for our data 👀

The government said they were wrong on how they handled the genocide in Gaza. But with over 160 arrests outside the Labour conference, it's hard to believe they're going to change … Is this a policy shift, or is this just damage control? 🗳️🇵🇸 Defend our right to protest 👇 goodlaw.social/aiar

Yesterday we hosted a roundtable discussion on misogyny, exploring the question: “How do we move from reacting to misogyny to shaping the conditions in which it cannot flourish?” The conversation brought together leading voices from campaigning, journalism, academia and the law.

The award-winning journalist Peter Geoghegan has been excluded from Reform UK’s conference. Why is Nigel Farage’s electoral vehicle so afraid of scrutiny? democracyforsale.substack.com/p/ive…
But Reform’s approach goes beyond simply excluding journalists from its conferences. The party routinely refuses to engage with journalists it regards as critical. I’ve spoken to one reporter who has been accredited for Birmingham but whose requests for invites to party press conferences and details of briefings are stonewalled.

Even more importantly, Reform has also taken to refusing to even acknowledge questions it doesn’t like. Which can make the process of reporting legally fraught if you’re making serious allegations. As Sunday Times journalist Gabriel Pogrund discovered when he started reporting on Richard Tice’s tax affairs, Reform doesn’t “accept the premise of basic scrutiny”.

Reform donor Arron Banks has been bragging about putting private intelligence operatives onto Pogrund. Reform supporters have also repeatedly targeted critics online.

Will the regulator impose meaningful sanctions this time? Or will a rogue channel be allowed to repeat these vicious lies again and again? goodlaw.social/q61l
In June, the rightwing influencer Based and Bougie claimed on GB News’s The Saturday Five that gay men are “more prone” to “sexual deviancy” and “child sexual assault with their adopted children”. And in July, Caroline Farrow of CitizenGO – a lobby group which campaigns against abortion and LGBTQ+ rights around the world – claimed on Alex Armstrong Tonight that Pride “is not about gay rights” and has become about celebrating “bestiality” and “minor attracted people, you know, paedophiles”.

These dangerous lies are almost identical to remarks made by the GB News host Josh Howie in January 2025, when he suggested “the full inclusion of LGBTQ+ persons… that includes paedos”. After 70,000 people complained to the regulator, Ofcom found that GB News had breached the broadcasting code. The broadcaster made a grovelling apology on air, and the media watchdog took no further action.

That’s why Good Law Project exists. We stand with people taking on powerful institutions, to make sure that power never comes without accountability. Read Nina’s story here: goodlaw.social/zjlq
Screenshot from Good Law Project’s article, reading: “Holding the police to account won’t give Nina back the years she lost. But it shows that even the most powerful public bodies can be challenged – and made to answer for the harm they cause.

According to Cat Knight, deputy head of legal at Good Law Project, Nina’s fight “has always been bigger than one person”.

“It’s about every survivor who deserves to be believed, every report that deserves to be properly investigated, and every public body that must be held to the standards it owes the people it serves,” Knight said.”

Now, the full extent of this corporate infiltration has been laid bare. The official figures released by NHS England confirm that, as of May 28 2026, a total of 145 contractors from Palantir UK and an additional 87 third-party sub-contractors have been formally onboarded to the NHS Federated Data Platform (FDP) programme. To facilitate this, all these private operatives have been issued approved @nhs.net email accounts to conduct their work under the instruction of the NHS.

Statement from Good Law Project reading:

We want to apologize for how the ‘Monster’ campaign has been received by the trans community. We’ve heard you – and we’ve instructed our media partners to take the campaign down.

The ‘Monster’ campaign was commissioned from the preeminent public artist Martin Firrell, whose work evidences a long record of support for the LGBT+ community, to speak specifically to cis people about what it means to oppose trans people, rights, spaces and joy. The campaign tested very positively with cis allies and the team that worked on it included a number of trans people. The campaign was funded by a single donation and in its very brief existence has brought in at least one four figure donation.

We think it’s important that we speak both to the cis people, who we need to persuade, and the trans community, for whom ultimately we do this work. Later this month a project we funded for the trans community, the 86-metre Trans Unity Quilt, with two trans co-artistic directors, will be carried along the route of London Trans+ Pride and then at further events outside London.

All of this is true – but none of it matters if it damages the trust we enjoy with the trans community and it has. So it will be taken down today – and I repeat my apology, on Good Law Project’s behalf, to those the campaign has upset. We remain, as ever, extraordinarily grateful to the many members of the trans community who continue to support our work for the community.
